Now you can use bathroom tissue sheets instead of dollar bills!

Woohoo it's Friday, and I catch a plane to Sydney this arvo.

Have fun, Jeff! Do a good in your retirement training. SmileWavy

Thanks Jim, will do.

Got about an hour to wait for my ride to the airport. I've packed my suitcase twice now, I don't think I have time to do it a third.

The missus is having a fun time in Sydney already with her girlfriends. They made it to the harbour cruise last night (it was touch and go coz of a late flight), and then threw up from being sea sick.

I'll get to see her again on Sunday week after I return to Sydney from skiing.

Have fun Jeff, don't break anything!!!

Going to snag a NIB window AC unit for doing a glen style garage ac setup tomorrow. Found one for $200! Will have the project done for under $300! Woohoo!

Drinking peroni, waiting to board

GH85Carrera 08-06-2015 08:06 PM

It is a cheap way to do it and easy to take down in the winter and store it out of the way. I have slid my AC unit into place by myself a couple of times but I get help now. That sucker was the limit of my strength by myself. I nearly dropped it once. It is just to easy to find a friend to help. It sure makes working in the garage nice and comfortable. I figured it is about a buck per hour to run it. So all day in the garage is the cost of a six pack. It is worth it.

porsche4life 08-06-2015 08:10 PM

My neighbors are always around to help with lifting heavy crap. I make sure to buy them beer occasionally so they like to help!

GH85Carrera 08-06-2015 08:17 PM

When I was detailing my 911 a few weeks ago it was cooler in the garage than in the house. I would come inside and it felt hotter and was hotter than my garage. That is great for July. :D

porsche4life 08-06-2015 08:28 PM

I have a suspicion the neighbors will be wanting to move the Friday night darts game to my house soon lol.

impactbumper 08-06-2015 09:23 PM

Really don't want to go to work tomorrow.

porsche4life 08-06-2015 10:01 PM

Does anyone?

Outback Porsche 08-07-2015 12:13 AM

I'm not :D

According to OKC police...

Even though they get lots of calls complaining about it and privacy issues, it is still legal to fly drones and take movies or pictures anywhere in Oklahoma City.

While local TV station was using a drone to shoot a piece about the legality of drones someone called the police reporting an armed robbery at their location. The police showed up in the middle of their shoot. Police just said, no gunman? we outta here.

Time to build a drone detector with an integrated jammer. You will sell a LOT of them. Like radar detectors and laser jammers.

Oh yeah...Good Freakin Morning.

At 6:30am its 80°F and 70% humadiddy. Forecast is 102°F.
If you have anything to do outside, do it in the morning while it's cool but watch out for the humadiddy.

Jim Richards 08-07-2015 05:35 AM

We're going to have nice weather here. Too bad I'm in the office instead of out enjoying the day. Oh well, at least it's FRIDAY!

GH85Carrera 08-07-2015 05:44 AM

According to the FAA use of a drone or UAV for commercial purposes can only be done with a commercial pilots license and not over populated areas and without a permit. The real problem is the FAA does not have an enforcement division.

Seahawk is the real expert on the legal use of the things. I know many of our customers demand proof of our 5 million dollar insurance policy before they will sign the agreement for us to shoot photos. How in the world can we get a policy to cover a UAV for that. In 68 years of being in the business we have never had any sort of off airport landing or any emergency. We have a solid long record of safety.

One client had us fly a tree covered island in the Houston shipping channel. There was nothing on the island but trees, nothing. They insisted we get a 10 million dollar rider to fly the project. We were over that island for less then one minute. The client paid the extra cost for the extra insurance.

Good Friday morning folks.

Think I will go visit the GTS this morning after the 8am traffic abates a bit. I've got a tag sticker to slap on it anyways.

Very late last night I let Pepper out to do her stuff. She started barking and growling. Got the flashlight out and there were an opossum atop the stockade fence. Took a bit to get Pepper to shut up and come back in the house. Didn't know we still had opossum in the neighborhood.

GH85Carrera 08-07-2015 05:51 AM

We had a baby opossum in our back yard not long ago. Reuben was not happy. Of course he feels that way about the squirrels.
