Welcome to IT.

Glen's router was set so the gateway IP was the router's IP. It shouldn't have routed anything. Cox evidently have their gateway router set so it is automatically routing out IP block level packets. The block level is the first number of the 4 numbers, x.x.x.x. Since Glen's router and the mail server were the same block level, 98.x.x.x, it did not get routed. That's the best I can come up with.

It was the extraterrestrials working with the unicorns and they were stopping each and every bit going toward the email server but allowing the rest of the internet to work. That or the NSA saw all the email traffic for the big on-line gambling site we run for Google.

Wow. Return of the 911R.

Porsche 911 R Details

911 with GT3 motor and manual transmission. Plus some lightening and other tweaks. Sounds groovy.

Oh yeah. That sounds great!

I feel like curb stomping a baby dolphin.

Cable company. 'nuff said. :)

RKDinOKC 10-09-2015 01:22 PM

Yep, without a gateway IP the router should not have worked at all.

RKDinOKC 10-09-2015 01:48 PM

Has anyone seen and/or played with the Anki no slot slot cars?

What is this thing you call "play?"

flipper35 10-09-2015 02:02 PM

Can you change lanes then?

But it DID work! It got to all the internet except your mail server. Maybe it was YOU! :p

GH85Carrera 10-09-2015 02:21 PM

Will you ever let them play with it?

porsche4life 10-09-2015 02:25 PM

Of course... The little turds have taken over my xbox... ;) Trying to get a second TV setup so I can demote them... ;)

Okay, they just came out with the track that is in sections so you can make different tracks. Before the track was an oval on a big piece of vinyl. The cars have AI and can drive the track themselves. They sense where the track is and stay in a lane. You use a smart phone like iPhone or Android to control them. You control speed AND YOU CAN CHANGE LANES. To go fastest you move to the inside lane for corners. The cars also have weapons and defenses to use agains the other cars. You can also compete against cars that are driven by AI that are pretty good. There are different cars with different strengths, weaknesses, weapons, and defenses.

The cars run for 20 minutes per charge and take 8 to recharge. Since the track is not electrified you can set it up almost anywhere. And since it is just thick vinyl you can bank the turns and make hills. There are add on's for figure 8 intersections, jumps and more. The cars have lights so you can run them in the dark too.

Starter kit is $149. With track to set up 8 different configurations and 2 cars.

Just google Anki Overdrive.

flipper35 10-09-2015 08:24 PM

Would be really expensive for us. We don't have any compatible devices to control the cars. :(

RKDinOKC 10-09-2015 09:43 PM

Having to buy controllers would make it a bunch mo spensive.
