Pepper is home!

She must like it, I m getting random walk by kisses.
She is a little calmer, but not much different.
The trainer is a treat trainer, Pepper has always responded well if you have a treat in your hand.

We are looking for a robovac and I am one to read reviews and such so I am researching a Bobsweep and I found one of the best reviews I have read in a very long time

My wife recently bought a Bobsweep. It seems to working pretty good except doesn't go over a certain size threshold. And you pretty much have to move wires and thigs out of its way. If you are one to throw things on the floor, this may not be for you unless you really want to clean up your act and pick things up. It does clean well, gets under the bed and really dusts it out. That's worth a lot to us. The only problem I have found that is disturbing to me is that ever since my wife got BOB, she is talking to it like it is human. I can hear her saying in the next room..'come on Bob', 'Good job Bob', ...'Bob just a minute, let me move that wire' etc. On and on it goes. Its like a 3rd person moved into our house. To further complicate the issue, the company sent us a birth announcement on Bob, something like Bob Ourlastname, born October 4, 2014, 2 3/4 inches tall. Or something like that. Bob is born to us. Now I am wondering if the company offers psychological evaluations for people who own Bob and talk to him like my wife is doing now. I just have to leave the house sometimes.

One of the ladies I worked with back in the days of DOS 3.1 would tell the computer "I'am sorry" every time the computer beeped from an error and there were many beeps with that complex program we were running.

Woke up just in time to watch the Brazilian GP.

Slept very well...in my own bed with Pepper curled up at my feet...Home!

RKDinOKC 11-15-2015 09:48 AM

There was a winner of the Brazilian BP.

And I thought Playboy was the best girly mag when I was a kid...

Good early morning.

Back to the grind after 2 weeks of vacation. arrrgification.

Rick V 11-16-2015 03:31 AM

Yeah welcome back sorry about the monday thing

Jim Richards 11-16-2015 03:34 AM

The worst thing about taking vacation is that it ends and you have to go back to work. It's like a whole ****-pile of Mondays come crashing down on you at once.

Had a beautiful weather weekend, spent it inside trying to get over the flu....still not feeling 100% and had to trudge into work today where I am sure everybody will be asking me to take on new projects !

Jim Richards 11-16-2015 03:52 AM

The flu sucks. I've been getting flu shots every year for a while to reduce my chances of actually coming down with the flu. So far it's working...knock on wood.

Just spent a hour watching a dog training video. It's one for training "protection" dogs though they cover all types. They use three basic responses, Yes (gets a treat) and is released, Good (sometimes treat) not released, and No for when the dog responds incorrectly. The yes is always immediately rewarded with a treat. The Good tells the dog it is doing the right thing, but keep doing it and it will receive a treat later. The no is not a punishment, just removal of the reward to let the dog know it is not doing the right thing.

It talks about dogs like Pepper that are very excitable and says they end up being the best dogs because the excitement means they are more motivated and when trained are more focused, more eager to please, and respond to commands quicker.

Learned from the hotel staff (didn't sleep much at the 928 gathering) all hotels, etc will let service dogs stay there. Service dogs are not considered pets. Talking to my neighbor found he knows a vet that will give any well behaved dog a signed service dog certificate. Then I may or may not be required to get one of those service dog vests for the dog, haven't found the particulars yet. Never had a problem with my first dog and stayed and took her many places that were no pets because she was so well behaved.

My bosses always say if you are sick stay home, nobody wants what you got. And passing it on will just add to the unproductiveness.

It's looking like I'm gunna have to attend work every day this week. This is gunna suck big knobs :(

Went to grocery store to restock yesterday. Like to use a small amount of lard to make omelettes and grilled sandwiches. Keeps them from sticking without burning like butter or oil. For two years have used a chunk about the size of a small tub of butter. All they have at the store now is a half gallon tub of lard. Holy cow (or pig as the case may be), that much lard would last me 20 years!

My boss says the same thing and I agree with him. Nothing annoys me more than some knob head trying to spread their disease at work. I don't get it, what they are thinking? Maybe that's the problem, they're not thinking.
