Stijn!!

The company I work for was founded in 1947 by Wil Moore. He retired (early retirement at age 92) and sold the company in 2006. Ed Foster of Gulf Coast Aerial mapping was a company we worked closely with since the 60s. He basically liked the employees and bought the company for us to keep our jobs. Ed only visited OKC twice in 9 years. He completely left us alone and he was happy to have us send him the profits.

Ed died last Tuesday and we drove down for the funeral.

Ed's son has been the manager for the last 4 years. He has continued to leave us alone. It will be interesting to see if he tries to mess with what has worked for so long or make changes.

He needs us more than we need him.

Sounds like as long as you guys keep it in the green they will leave you alone

It looks like the biggest issue is to wear shoes or work boots to do that.

Evening Y'all,
Man what a nice weekend, 70's and sunshine,
Its starting to look a lot like .............................easter

Rick V 12-13-2015 02:17 PM

My new spoon has to go back from where it came. The firing pin is going into the primers so deep it is getting stuck and locking up the frigging thing.

It was an amazing weekend. We just got back from a 6.5 to 7 mile walk along the C&O Canal. No jackets. Just a gorgeous day.

We're having an early mud season. Been in the 50's last week (40's today). The white stuff will get here eventually. Haven't put much of a dent in the wood pile yet.

Supposed to see 30 here overnight. Glad it doesn't get colder than that here, we'd have major plumbing issues. The main water line to our house is above ground and exposed outside! All the houses are built that way here!

RKDinOKC 12-13-2015 11:01 PM

Other house was a crawl space house. All the plumbing was in the open crawls space. It was a big deal to put covers on all the vent holes every fall and take them off every spring. Never did freeze. Floors also stayed warm considering there was nothing but the flooring for insulation. That house cost as much to heat an cool as my slab brick home now that is twice as many square feet.

Our places are all like that, it's where they put the water meter.
