Morning dudes!

today I signed in for a hunting class.
Before you get a hunting permit over here, one has to be tried an tested...
If all goes well, I'll have my permit by august, I think.
My dad just bought a Holland and Holland side by side double barrel, so I look forward going hunting with that thing... (If he lets me..)

Morning

GD's Christmas present arrived as a flat pack and we had to make sure everything was there. I think the little princess will be very pleased.

Geronimo '74 12-07-2015 03:39 AM

Good morning folks.

Phew, it is nice to get to work and relax. ;)

Mrs. Carrera's agenda was to get the back yard emptied of tree debris. She helped some but for the most part it was point and grunt.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1449495213.jpg

One tree cut down to a stump suitable for a birdbath stand and moved to the front yard in a big ol pile of stuff. We have had some friends come by and take a lot of the bigger pieces for firewood. There is still a 20 foot long pile of tree debris that the city will come haul away soon. Then I can mow the front yard one final time the year. I mowed the back yard yesterday.

Time for a nap.

Merry Christmas!

Company gifted us $250 for Christmas this year. Pretty generous considering profits are slim to none with the oil prices so low.

Also get my electric chainsaw today so can start cuttin up the tree limbs from the cottonwood. Oh boy.
Still can't find my work gloves, got some new ones. Bet will find the old ones as soon as the work is done.

Porsche-poor 12-07-2015 07:26 AM

Morning all. I'm with Rick. A horrid day awaits.

RKDinOKC 12-07-2015 08:10 AM

Trying to make believe it's some other day than Monday. Where's Mr. Rogers Trolley when you need it?

GH85Carrera 12-07-2015 08:22 AM

I bought my electric chainsaw about 30 years ago. It mostly sits in the storage shed, but when I need it, it sure is handy to have around.

flipper35 12-07-2015 08:28 AM

Rick, I think you found the perfect application for that spoon.

Sounds like you OK people are getting things cleaned up. Sucks that you lost the trees though Glen. We have several friends that burn wood and we have a fire pit here so getting rid of trees is easy for us. Mom and dad lost a Russian Olive tree last spring and we cut is small enough to get on a trailer and some friends took that as well.

My wife was getting our daughter prepped for the Christmas concert and we heard the boy playing around on the piano. At first it wasn't much of anything then we heard something familiar and I walked out and said "Hey bud, playing a little Pink Floyd?" He said it sounded familiar but couldn't remember the name so we played it for him. He spent the rest of they day randomly singing "We don't need no, education. We don't need no, thought control". I don't know how much he sings at school, but I can imagine the daily newsletter that comes home today. At least it wasn't teeny-bop music.

If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding.

But in England, aren't those the same thing?

flipper35 12-07-2015 08:48 AM

I think sometimes it is the same. They always mess stuff up like chips/fries and add extra letters to words like colour.

Oh Haha 12-07-2015 09:02 AM

My son has been going around saying "Giggity". Arrrgghh.

Somehow, singing PF doesn't seem so bad.

flipper35 12-07-2015 09:20 AM

PF doesn't bother me at all. Not sure what his teachers will think of it though.

I thought Giggity was a required learning word in Michigan and NASCAR south?

It's actually from "Family Guy". I watch that and Robot Chicken, The Simpsons, etc.

I guess it's the same as kids in MY youth saying "whachewtalkinboutwillis?"

BTW-I'm a car guy but don't follow NASCAR. :D

WOW!!!! Looks like the place I work for is being bought by another larger firm. Guess I will see if I have a job in March.
