azzarule 04-26-2016 03:36 AM

Condolences Sidney and family for the loss of your dear Grandma, even when you know that it is for the best and they have gone to a better place without pain, it doesn't make it any easier to accept.

Might have been fun if they could have installed a backlight so my eye would light up red. Heck might be fun if it lit up any color come to think of it. Oh no, did't mean to give those tattooed weirdos any ideas.

Well it still hurts and it seems fairly obvious I can't take another pain pill yet. :)

I have a couple of trash bins in the house. The one in the kitchen has an electric eye operated lid. When you get close with your trash it opens so you can toss something, then closes. My other trash bin is normal. Pepper thinks the open topped one is a source for items to chew up like her toy basket. Wonder if I can train her to put trash in the trash bin instead of taking it out and shredding it. Have never been able to train one of my dogs to put it's toys back in the basket.

Why the hell would you want to have a Cadillac implanted into your eye???

No wonder you're having problems!

A tatooed eye

My eye isn't quite that red and my eyes are brown.
With all the Doctor's concern about eye infection I can't imagine having eyeballs tattooed.

The eye is watching! Yeck.

Good Tuesday morning!

They had an article in the newspaper about the possibility of bad weather from 4:00 to 8:00 tonight. On the drive in I noticed one of the commercial electronic billboards switched from an add about a local car dealer to a warning about possible severe weather from 4:00 to 8:00. Of course all the local TV stations are frothing at the mouth for a chance to use the storm chasers and the helicopters. I have no doubt my cell phone will be getting alerts this afternoon. It seems possible we might have some severe weather this afternoon. I can bet one of the TV stations will find a imbecile to interview and they will have the standard interview "I seed it coming over them thar trees and it blowed away them trailers over yonder, gee too bad I don't have any insurance"

One of the stations missed the mark a few years back. The person they interviewed was an articulate intelligent attractive lady and she said of course they have insurance and will rebuild quickly. I was stunned they put that on the air.

I try to keep my El Camino at a presentable clean level. Last night when I got in it to go home a herd of monster size diarrhea laden precision bombing Canadian geese had attacked. The Elky took a huge direct hit. This is the parking lot where they were lining up the target.

All of those white spots are poo bombs. They had one missed strafing run next to that string and they must have come around for a second run at my poor Elky. Our parking lot is covered in poo.

Oh Haha 04-26-2016 06:47 AM

Frikkin' birds!

How dare they soil the mighty El!:D

Off to mount a chrome exhaust tip for a gal that works with my wife. It's for her husband's birthday. I advised against it as I wouldn't want something on MY vehicle I didn't approve. It's a simple bolt-on and apparently he isn't really a car guy, so to speak.

I'll get some karma points anyway.

Porsche-poor 04-26-2016 07:15 AM

morning all. its all balances out. you have birds that fly over and bomb. We have geese that cross the roads and get hit.

RKDinOKC 04-26-2016 08:26 AM

My bird problem is a little different. I have a big yaupon bush, more like a small tree, in my front garden. The birds eat the berries and and fly over my house and back patio when they leave. They leave a trail of red berry droppings across the patio when in season. It just can't be going thru them that quickly!

Porsche-poor 04-26-2016 08:29 AM

Happens with black berries here. Damn birds.

Oh Haha 04-26-2016 10:02 AM

Got the exhaust tip installed and although it's not what I would want, the gal is happy.

My drum shop is nearby so I stopped to order new heads. The owner calls me over to a corner and says "check this out".

A perfect replica of John Bonham's chrome Ludwigs. I don't know many drummers that wouldn't slobber over them, including me.

He offered them to me at a killer price before he lists them.

We've been sitting on the proceeds from the 911 sale so the money is there but I just can't see getting them to sit in the garage or pack away in cases and not play. Similar to having a cool car but never driving it. or a supermodel,or.........

flipper35 04-26-2016 10:11 AM

I heard there was some weather brewing down in OK.

Wayne, sounds like you could have had your replacement heads already attached to some chrome units! Think of the labor you would save!

GH85Carrera 04-26-2016 10:24 AM

Yea, the forecast is for the likely possibility of thunderstorms. On a scale of 1-9 the threat level for some area getting baseball size hail, 80 MPH winds and up to a F3 tornado are in the 8 out of 9 range. That means someone somewhere might get one of the other. Somewhere in the almost 70 thousand square miles of the state is going to have a bad night.

Porsche-poor 04-26-2016 10:35 AM

you stay safe!!! No storm chasing for you.

Jim Richards 04-26-2016 10:55 AM

Let's not play Twister, guys!

Porsche-poor 04-26-2016 10:57 AM

naked twister with twins but not OK wind storms.

ckelly78z 04-26-2016 11:00 AM

We got some pretty decent sized quarter hail last night, intense rain, and constant lightening for an hour or so. I checked the roof of my car for dents this morning.

GH85Carrera 04-26-2016 11:12 AM

I have never had the urge to chase storms. It is a great way to get a lot of hail damage on your car.

We had one tornado come down 1.5 miles south of us that was awesome to watch. The wall cloud was full of striations was huge. It made a little F2 that tore the roof off of a house and tore up some cars in the parking lot of a local amusement park. That was 18 years ago.

About 4 or 5 years ago there was one two miles north. It was wrapped in rain and we could not see it. The TV stations had their choppers right over our house showing that storm. It tore up some trees and power poles.

We did not even loose electricity on either one.

My grandparents came to Oklahoma in 1900 and not one of the four ever had tornado damage to a house and neither did their kids. It can sure happen, but it really is rare.

Company I work for is shutting down at 3:30 today. Fraidy Cats.

GH85Carrera 04-26-2016 01:18 PM

I made an appointment with my orthopedic surgen that replaced my hip. My knee is starting to hurt some on occasion. I wanted to get a base line x-ray and his opinion of treatment. I am long away from having anything done but I want to see the doc.

I made that appointment two weeks ago. On Friday they sent me an email that they wanted me to reply to. Then on Saturday they had an automated phone call and I had to punch one that I was the person with the appointment, and one again that I knew planed to be there.

I just got a text message from them and now I have to reply with a yes. Wow, do they really need three forms of confirmation? Freakin nuts.
