After that was done I put in a new faucet for her. The supply lines didn't look great but I didn't have time for another run to the store so I'll get a new set and change them this weekend

Take the 911 as payment :D

Sid, I know your pain. I don't touch other people's plumbing anymore after a simple lesson like that.

What started out as a simple problem morphed into a huge mess and an entire weekend of working my ass off about 35 years ago at my parents house. Their house was built in the mid 1920s and had many original plumbing and electrical challenges.

While they lived there they had the entire plumbing system replaced and all new electrical system. The house had knob and post electrical system originally with screw in fuses when they bought it. They paid a real pro to modernize that mess.

I miss that almost as much as helping people move. I am so glad to be past that age level of helping buddies move.

Good morning everyone.

Great Day in the Morning!

That is all.

RKDinOKC 02-11-2016 06:56 AM

Have helped several people move. While it was not what I would call fun and/or exciting it wasn't really that bad.

Well, there was this one time I helped my nephew move home from his dorm in college that turned out to be pretty fun. Went up the day before with my 4x4 GMC Jimmy, a trailer, and my dog Penny. Partied very late. Woke up in some chick's dorm room across campus. By the time Penny and I showered and made it to his room my nephew and his buddies already had all his stuff loaded. It was kind of a milestone. The only time I've ever showered in the girls dorm.

Wish that were an option. Car is gone and she won't say where it went, best bet in the family is that she sold it. Not long after it disappeared she got some new furniture and a new TV...

And glen, I don't enjoy it but I figure it's part of being part of a family. I've made it clear that I won't do this for most people, but her mom is on a fixed income and I know a plumber would have taken her for a bunch of money for that.

morning all. Well got up a 4am to send the oldest to LA for the weekend. Five days of one studio after another for his broadcasting class.

Lower Alabama? The Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday parade in Mobile was on Tuesday. He missed it all!

Holly Weird to be exact.

Is broadcasting class where you learn how to throw drunk and disorderly women out of bars?

among other things, yes!!!!

GH85Carrera 02-11-2016 09:09 AM

Depending on the size of the woman that is usually easy.

Long ago when I lived in Alabama a buddy was a BIG guy and he got hired as a bouncer. He was the dude that checked ID's at the door. He quickly learned that cute 30 something women tended to give nice hugs and kisses when he demanded they prove they were at least 21.

Welp. tried it again. Made a tuna melt for lunch using some new Bumble Bee brand jalapeno seasoned tuna. It was delicious, yum. And yes, i do grill cheese/melts right. Butter the outside of the bread and do the melt/toasting part in a skillet. It's messy, but oh so good.

A nap is a great way to time travel. Fall asleep and the next thing ya know it is much later.

Porsche-poor 02-11-2016 11:19 AM

GH85Carrera 02-11-2016 11:22 AM
