Headjob at the barber shop?
When 18 checked out a barber shop I had overheard my cousin talking about. It was a little one chair shop in the basement of an old hotel. Went in and the old man barber was sitting in the chair reading a paper. Asked if I could get a hair cut. He looked at his watch and made the comment that there was enough time before the next appointment so he could work me in. As I sat down he locked the front door and went thru a back door telling me to just relax the shampoo girl would be right in. This cute shampoo girl came in, leaned the chair back putting my head in the sink, and started wetting my hair putting her ample breasts all up in my face. Before getting the shampoo she took her top off...(insert porno movie). After she was finished with me she got dressed and went thru the back door leaving me sitting there ready to get my hair cut. The barber then came out, unlocked the front door and proceeded to cut my hair chatting like barbers do, like nothing unusual had happened. Gave me his card and said I might want to call for an appointment next time to make sure he was available. |
Lol, nothing so lucky today.
Would have been happy to have an attractive girl to look at but I kept my eyes shut through most of it. Got me ears lowed satisfactory. This looks like fun http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1461832398.jpg |
Pretty sure she wasn't the slightest bit interested in cutting my hair.
And it was a real old timey barbershop with a real barber's chair. Probably would have broken one of those beauty salon chairs. https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/i...7-kntUgZO19dyQ |

Wifey had to take an employee to the ER last night for an injury.
This morning she tells me that the van's check engine light came on. I scanned the code and found P2610 stored. Awesome. It may be nothing but it could be the PCM/ECM module. I'm going to try removing the negative battery cable and see if it comes back. Gotta love the Internet for troubleshooting. |
Good over the hump day folks.
I managed to make it to my Doctors appointment and not forget it. I had my knees x-rayed and since I was there they did an x-ray of my hip since he replaced it. The hip is in perfect shape and giving me zero problems. He said looking at my knees they looked like the knees of the average healthy person 10 years younger than me. He said he just talked to a lady 10 years younger than me and her knees were shot and both need replacement. My pain is from hanging out with Russel Westbrook too much. Russel and I have the same issue, a torn ACL only Russel's is far worse and his meniscus is messed up. My knees are in better shape than a 27 year old star player for the OKC Thunder. Russel lives across the street and down a block a little ways from me. From what I hear people that play play the silly game he plays makes lots of money because thousands of people show up just to watch him play a game with a ball. That makes no sense to me. At least my knees are in better shape than his. :p |
When the Cayenne's check engine light came on, I checked under the hood and the engine was still there.

See, another advantage of a quality car like a 1985 911 Carrera. In 160,000 miles and 31 years never even ONCE has the check engine light come on. The ABS light and the airbag light has never as much as flickered! I tell ya, it is just great quality. ;)

Morning all. This morning is like living in a war zone. They are spraying for gypsy moth here and they started at 5am. Low and loud back and forth over the house.
|
I can honestly say I have never had a warning light come on in the Cobra.
It has a hall effect speedometer that has crapped out however. Been looking at these as a replacement. 3-3/8" GPS Speedometer 160mph. Auto Clockwise Without Turn Signals From Speedhut. |
We are doing our part at home to keep the economy moving and the cash flowing. The sewer problem is done and fixed. The tree in the back yard was cut down, the guttering was repaired from where the tree branches fell on the house.
Now we bought a new dishwasher. The one we have now is the one the builder installed and it is a GE Elite. It has problems so away it goes and in goes a Bosch. Fun time in the big city. |
We just put our Bosch in Tuesday night. It is quiet and the silverware cutlery third tray on top is nice if it works properly. Haven't had it long enough to know.
|
The store had free installation and will haul away the old one. I will let them install it for that price. ;)
|
Ours didn't take long but it is tough to beat free. Unless Joe Bob and Vinny show up to do it and it takes four trips to the hardware store for them even though they brought a kit with them. Then I would question how well it was done.
|
The store is a big store. They know how to do it right. They were cheaper than Lowe's and one other local appliance store. Both of the other places charged for the power cord even if you wanted to install it yourself. It was just the good deal.
|
I have no doubt they will do it right, I was just offering an example of when free might not be so good.

I installed a new dishwasher in a spot in the kitchen, that never had one before, and built a cabinet around it, and replaced all the countertops in the kitchen to match the new island. We just kinda waded in and figured it out as we went, running electricity to the fuse box, running a drain into the septic pipe, and tapping into a hot water line in the basement for supply.
It runs real nice and quiet, and does a good job, with no leaks or issues. |
Yea, when Larry, Darrel and Darrel from the Bob Newhart show arrive. Or the Three Stooges.
One of the scenes that is is a shame there is no video of in my wife's cousins kid. He had a tree he wanted to have cut down. He ended up with the 3 stooges level of some dummy with a pickup and a chainsaw with two helpers. They cut down the tree and it landed on the house. The real owner of the house was the kids dad, Charlie. Charlie looks like a bigger version of Shaquille O'Neal. He pulled up as the tree was falling on the house and started yelling. I would love to have been there to see it. He was not real happy. He makes it a funny story now after many years have passed and the financial pain is less. |
Need a new mechanical dish washer. Current one is 25 years old and has gotten to where is just gets stuff wet. Kinda difficult to get me to part with any monies until the GTS is back on the road.
Hope the Cottonwood hasn't been over pruned by mother nature. Really don't want to have to remove it, it's freakin huge. There is no direction it can be felled without tearing something up. Would definitely need professionals take it down a piece at a time. |
