Oh Haha 02-13-2016 03:37 PM

Good on you for helping the youngin' out Glen.

Nice, a feel good with eye candy...Score!

Guy in HS had a really nice Sunbeam Alpine convertible. Sold it and got a 66 Mustang coupe. Personally thought it was a step backward. Not that I had room to say anything driving a 68 Ford Country Squire station wagon. Most of my other friends had muscle cars. Did find that before long we all ended up piling into the Party Wagon for most events.

Hmmm...something must be wrong with my interwerbs, I can't seem to find any photos!!!

GH85Carrera 02-14-2016 07:00 AM

She and the boy friend were right there. I could not take photos without looking like a dirty old man even if I am. Plus she might have been under 18 I can't tell anymore about young women. And I am sure I did not have any model releases with me. ;)

RKDinOKC 02-14-2016 12:38 PM

You could have told them you would like to take a picture to prove to your wife you had stopped to help with their car.

Thinking picture of young chick in glistening black tight leather accentuating every curve bent over under the hood with her back arched looking back at the camera with a confused/surprised expression and overly red lips forming a perfect circle. And done

Good Morning as they say.

GH85Carrera 02-15-2016 05:10 AM

Well, Monday morning is back. The coffee is good.

We are supposed to have some great weather this week. I may break out the shorts for a while. :)

RKDinOKC 02-15-2016 05:45 AM

Used to be my minimum temp for wearing shorts was 54°F. But because of complications from the MRSA thing with my foot I have to wear knee high compression socks. The socks are very warm and have lowered my low temp shorts wearing comfort limit. Haven't tested it to see just how low the new comfort limit is though. But have gone places with temps as low as 40°F without getting cold (was wearing a jacket). Did feel kinda weird wearing a jacket and shorts, but I was comfortable.

Kinda interesting the doc thought the sores on my legs was from diabetes, but when they finally sent me to a dermatologist she found it was that the MRSA damaged my blood veins causing the sores. She had me put a steroid on my legs and wear low compression knee socks. Not only have all the sores gone away, but she has had me spray my legs with a bleach solution which has really faded the scars the sores caused.

My shorts wearing temp is over 70 degrees, I have bad circulation, and start getting cold extremities, which makes me an unhappy camper. I am usually involved in some sort of dirty/muddy home project that I don't want all over my legs anyway.

GH85Carrera 02-15-2016 05:51 AM

The guy that was our UPS delivery guy for many years wore shorts all year regardless of temperature. It all started with a bet with another driver on who could go the furthest into winter before changing. They both went through the first winter and he figured that was OK, what the heck. It had been several years for him of shorts all year even in snow and ice.

Needless to say everyone else though he was nuts. ;)

RKDinOKC 02-15-2016 06:10 AM

If his truck is warm and the places he delivers to warm also, then I could see the short trips from the truck to delivery and back not providing the time to get cold unless it was also rainy and windy, especially if he is hustling.

One time I walked several miles when it was -10°F and within a block I had unzipped my winter coat because I was getting too warm and starting to sweat.

morning all. Still filling out paperwork for the new company. Feels like starting a new job rather then being bought out.

GH85Carrera 02-15-2016 07:05 AM

Yesh!

Paul that looks horrible. I guess the fields will like the nitrogen that white fluffy crap provides.

We are supposed to hit high 70s on Thursday. :D

Ya gotta keep the paper pushing bureaucrats busy!

Oh Haha 02-15-2016 07:09 AM

David-it's probably better than having to find another job....

maybe

Nuts that I have to prove I'm a citizen even after working here for almost 20 years. So far the only one I might object to is the media release. Not a fan of posting pictures on the net that I didn't pick out.

RKDinOKC 02-15-2016 07:13 AM

Your company is too lazy to try to copy employee information from your current HR bookkeeping to their's. And besides your old company paperwork does not match the new companies forms. So, you get to fill out new paperwork they can put into their system and file hard copies of. AND is has your signature on it, the most important part. Even though most stuff is now electronic it's still about having a hard copy somewhere with a signature on it.

The media release is basically to be able to put your picture in the company Global Address Book. Which I would NOT make public.

Porsche-poor 02-15-2016 07:21 AM

oh no there is a separate form to till out for the address book.
