Good Hump day morning all.
One of my wife's long time friends drove down from Kansas to spend the week with Mrs. Carrera. They decided to open the bottle of ice cider we bough in Canada. It is pretty tasty. It is funny that 1/2 a glass each for them and they were tipsy. I was back in my office and heard lots of yapping and laughing. At least they are having a good time. |
I presume that is just spam. I will report it.

spam? Its all the @ symbols I ever forgot to type coming back to haunt me.

I am getting old. I made myself motion sick having a somersault contest with the daughter in the pool. After doing several in a row I was dizzy and felt just a bit queasy. The boy can only do 3 in a row.
Glen, I think it is an alien but doesn't have the US keyboard! |
Motion sick on 3 somersaults in a pool. You are a wimp! ;)
At Disney World they have one ride called the trip to Mars. I was sitting in a "Cockpit" type setup with a buttons and a little monitor to watch. No outside visual reference at all. It is all indoors. They have some amazing motion and effects. The blastoff is a lot of vibration and acceleration but they somehow do a weightless sensation and lots of motion as we dodge asteroids. It was very juvenile but fun. In the line to get on they had a LOT of warning about motion sickness. For sensitive folks they had a less motion version. I went on the full version. I would have doen the ride again but my wife would not even go into the building much less ride it. I did not want to make her just sit and wait. I don't ever remember being motion sick. |
No, the 6 year old could do 3, I can do several. Still a wimp though! :)
I have been in the full motion F18 sim and broke a wing off while flying inverted and trying a bunt maneuver at 1.12 mach. It was violent enough it bruised the bone on my shoulder while we and the remainder of the aircraft tumbled in a ballistic arc. All my "recovery from unusual attitudes" under the hood during flight training never made me sick either. |
Think it was an alien trying to do some sort of ASCII art, but the font isn't monospaced on our planet, besides not drawing something we humans are familiar with. Probably a juvenile alien posting a picture of alien boobies, or alien penis, I don't know as I've never seen either that I know of.

Back when I lived in Alabama a buddy of mine's dad lived in Waugh, Alabama and he had a grass air strip. He kept his old bi-plane in a hangar there. It has been too many years to remember much about the airplane. It was an OLD airplane back then in the mid 70s. He had stuck a way oversize radial engine on it. He could just hang on the prop and go straight up. If he did a barrel roll and pulled up while inverted the airplane would shake and anything in your pockets would land on his strip. He loved making passengers airsick. He could not make me airsick. I just had fun.

Back in 93 went to a bar outside the Silicon Graphic main campus in Palo Alto. The bar was called Top Gun and had 4 full motion, total emerson flight sims. You sat in a cockpit that was a pod moved all around and everything was projected onto the canopy. Very realistic.

At least it's not hump aliens day!

There are people that think the opposite!

You guys are funny.
I mowed the 2 neighbor's lawns and our front this morning. It got pretty toasty at about 1pm with temps at 100 and humidity at close to 90 percent, according to the newsreader folk. The pool sure felt good after the work. I mean, I had to clean the pool so I had to get in the water to do a good cleaning. Yeah, that's it. :D |
you can come mow mine if you want. I don't have a pool but I can supply food and bev's.

Plus he's closer. Sorry David.
Now, how funny would that be if I were to come into his town and announce that I was there to cut the grass? Epic, I tell ya! Right on cue, the neighborhood kids showed up to swim at 5pm. They attend the same school as my kids. Mine didn't want to swim so I just et the other ones go. I'll let them have fun until about 6 and then shoo them so I can get supper started. One little guy even told me his parents will send money next time for pool maintenance. Obviously, I told him not to worry about it. His folks are not well off but are really nice. They don't even own a car. They must be raising him right as he is one of the most polite kids I have known. |
