Jeez! Daughter has no sense of humour
Apparently teaching two in the front one in the rear hand gesture is not appropriate for a 6 month old ? |
That is just shocking, LOL
|
I know, they're skills he's gunna need one day
|
Besides she's teaching him sign language so he can communicate before he can talk, I'm just helping.
|
My nephews and nieces taught all their babies sign language.
|
Yeah, they learn quickly. She did the same with GD.

I've discovered Pepper tries to talk quite often and I just didn't realize it. She mouths and shakes her head when she gets excited. Thought she was just making motions. But, if you listen really closely she is talking with her breath just not vocalizing. Quieter than a whisper. Been working lately on "louder." Any time I see her mouthing and moving her head around I tell her good girl and say louder. After two or three tries she actually gets it loud enough you can hear it. The only thing that works really well is Milk Bone Brushing Chews. She loves those. Just head towards the kitchen and ask if she wants and chew and she will immediately say "I want it" very clearly.

Stijn!!
Morning all.
It is mow the yard day here. Gotta mow the back yard. Oh joy. On the way back yesterday we drove past the plant that Karen Silkwood worked at making fuel rods. And the highway we were on is the one where she drove off into a ditch and died. |
We used to go party and swimmin on the Cimarron River just West less than a mile off that highway. That was just upstream of the nuclear plant on the East side of the highway. It was about the same time as the Karen Silkwood stuff.
The river area we found was really neat. It was on a big ess curve. The middle of the ess curve was white sandy beach and the river was edged by a 30 to 40 foot high banks perfect for diving and jumping. There was nothing but farm land in the area and since the river was kind of down in an shallow canyon type area it was very private. Always kept a blanket and 2 or 3 towels in the trunk. |
Know they always say the winning order is tentative but in all the time been watching F1 have not seen the podium jumbled by penalties and let lone jumbled again after the trophies were presented.

It is my sincere desire that each of you have a wonderful day despite for most it being the first day back to work after a hopefully enjoyable weekend of leisurely activity. And that as this day is a positive experience setting the tone for the overall events making up the rest of a good work a day week that when looked back on will leave you with a smile despite the outcome of the choices made in the upcoming elections.

Rightbacatcha Richard!
and you others. |
Howdy folks.
Back to work. Yea, the F1 race was a strange finish. And to really top it off, NBC decides to cut away early before the interviews and before any real discussions and to go to Ice Skating. Yea, really. I HATE it when NBC decides to put F1 on the regular channel. Keep it on one of the "sports" channels. Of course they often cut away to show some soccer match or some other group of men playing a silly game with a ball. They should be forced to call it a game channel. Watching other people play a game with a ball is BORING. Almost as exciting as watching a poker tournament, ice skating, synchronized swimming, ballet or some fat lady sing in a foreign language so it makes even less sense. Man, I miss Speedvision. |
Bring back Speed Vision!
There is a channel on skysports that covers F1 using the feeds that are broadcast. But you have to have a cord cutter app like Kodi on a device that hooks to your TV and can go thru a VPN proxy for the network to think you are in england to get skysports. Had it setup but updated my MacOS and my version of Kodi and haven't bothered to set it up again. |
Posted the Cayenne S on CarGurus.com this morning.
In order to place the ad I had to upload a pic of the car with a bottled water on the hood to prove I was in possession of the vehicle. So far have gotten no calls from Craigslist or Cars.com. Probably be until the end of the week before I get the cleared title. No too worried until then. After I get the actaul title will drop the price to $10.5k and list it on ebay and autotrader. |
Mornin' all.
This is my Mon/hump/fri day. Conference in Austin Wed/Thur and Fly out tomorrow. Taking a day with the wife to putz around down there Friday and come back Saturday. We taught out daughter sign language when she was little. The boy didn't care a whole lot either way. Friday I get a call from the marketing arm of the dealer we bought our Avenger from. They are calling 30 of their loyal customers (we have bought 1 car there) to come in for a special sales event. Guaranteed to give at least $2k more than KBB says our car is worth. I told them they don't have anything I am looking for in a car. We like our mid-sized sedan that is sporty. He says surely there is something we want and I said yes, our Avenger. The 200 is not sporty and the Dart is too small. He says, how about a Jeep then? I said Jeep doesn't make a car, what would he suggest I get? He says he doesn't really know what they currently have and what is a sedan then? He then says they have such good deals roughly 28 of the 30 people that go to the sales event buy a vehicle. I told him that unless he could tell me what four door car that is mid-sized I could trade even up for that I would be one of those two that doesn't get a new vehicle. He, again, said he didn't really know the lineup, I said, isn't that your job? So you aren't interested in a new vehicle then? No! How about a SUV? I have two, I don't need another, I like what I have. Thanks. How do those people get jobs? And he was the supervisor. It was worse when the original guy was talking. |
