Hand knitted slippers from Mrs. GH85Carrara with a nice letter. Ellen loves them and will put them to good use this winter. Make sure to pass along her thanks Glen.

You two are welcome here any time.

I will tell her thanks for you. I hope they keep Ellen's feet cozy. You are welcome out here anytime.

Missed the Pelican Cars & Coffee this morning. We've been too busy getting ready for travel. We're sitting @ LAX waiting for our flight. I hope I can sleep on the plane. I'm usually not very good at that.

GH85Carrera 11-13-2016 07:17 AM

Sleeping on the plane is never easy, but it sure helps with jet lag.

Good morning everyone.

Hehe, winding down this week. I'll be lucky to make it to Wednesday before blowing the rest of the week off. :D

Oh Haha 11-13-2016 12:35 PM

Afternoon folks.

Daughter is on crutches for a few days. Docs told us she stretched her tendons in her left foot. Probably from gymnastics but last night she was simply walking across the living room and felt a sharp pain around the top of her foot. She has complained about pain in that foot in past weeks but it never stopped her from doing anything gymnasticy.
Yesterday, I took her and friend to a park and she was cartwheeling and jumping all over with any issues.

We know she is definitely mine as she got hurt doing something mundane like I usually do. You survive dumb stunts and break your foot stepping down from the stairs.

Hope everyone is enjoying the day.

Weent to Taco Bell this evening for a couple of cheap crispy tacos. I like em once in a while. Anyway, Pepper said "Hello" very plain and clear to the guy at the drive thru window. He had me wait a couple of minutes and they added another taco to my order for free to give to Pepper.

Can't imagine why she get so excited to go for a ride.

Oh she gets plenty excited. Working on having her calm down a little and say hello. My first golden that turned out to be such a smart dog got really excited with new people as well. Even worked on a command "Cool your jets" but never worked.

She is doing better. Let her out today while my niece's boy was de-leafing the back yard. She went over to him, said hello, then came back and went in the house after only about 60 seconds. She used to go ape for attention for 4 or 5 minutes and I had to get her leash and drag her away.

Evening guys. Into scramble mode here, we are having new counters put in on friday, and I mouthed off to the missus that I would repaint the cabinets and do all the tear out. Cabinets are all painted, so will do the tear out in the evenings this week.

Loving the new job, so refreshing to work with a company that gives a damn about their employees!

We had a 6 foot tall by 5 x5 bush that the Mrs decided need to go away so she could plant something new there. Of course the roots were a tangled mess and required a lot of pickax time.

The good news for me is she hired two Mexicans with a landscaping business do it. They hauled away a full long-bed pickup load away. I don't have sore muscles or blisters.

Monday evening here. We just met up with our NZ tour group. Lots of retirees from the U.S., Canada, England, and Scotland. They seem like a nice bunch of people. Off to the fart sack...SmileWavy

slodave 11-14-2016 12:57 AM

You picked a bad time to be in NZ!

RKDinOKC 11-14-2016 03:28 AM

You went to NZ just to see the Hobbitses shire, didn't you

Outback Porsche 11-14-2016 04:27 AM

Haha.

How long are you in NZ for Jim? I'll be in Auckland next Monday arvo.

GH85Carrera 11-14-2016 05:17 AM

So just before you go to NZ the earth opens up. There is a Donald Trump joke in there somewhere but I am just starting my first cup of coffee.

Good Monday morning all.

Dropped the wounded offspring to school this morning to give the Principal a note for no gym class this week.
The receptionist then asks if I would consent to be interviewed by a local TV station about bullying. I said "Sure, if she wants to, it's ok by me". "No, they want to talk to a parent". Crap!

I told her I would do it if it shows the school in a good light.

So, do I give a shout out to Pelican? :D

Outback Porsche 11-14-2016 05:50 AM

Mmmmm perky pic Glen. That'll help me fall asleep as I count each braille dot one at a time. :D

Night all
