Women are smart that way. Us guys are happy to do it since we like our girls.
I am just glad is it above 0* here and I don't live near Pete. Not that he isn't likeable, but he is near all the crappy weather. Still, better than Florida. |
Yep

Oh my eyes. Everything has lost all it's color. It's all white!
Had to put off my surgery because of a head cold, but now I wish I hadn't! It's all really bright and white outside. Pepper loves running back and forth through the snow. |
We decided it was such a pretty day we would close early. ;)
|
I am headed home too. Not because it is such a pretty day but because the generator didn't start Wednesday at 2:00 am when a transformer blew. Guess who gets called to fix the servers? The UPS only lasts 30 minutes but the power was back on when I get here.
Hope yins (those from PA will understand) have a good weekend. |
you have a good weekend to.

It was so nice here, I decided to take today off. Drove the 964 over to the smog testing station...passed. Now all I need is the little 2018 sticker for my plates.

in Washington the cars age out. besides is a 38 year old cat even doing its job? Mine is it keeps the box its in from moving across the garage floor.
|
The 928 doesn't pass smog. It has to run to pass smog doesn't it? We don't have smog tests. I put race cats on anyway when the x-pipe went on in place of the stock cats, I like the sound. Cats take some of the raspyness out.
|
mine has a cat by-pass pipe from the cross-over to the sport muffler.
|
We have a large driveway at my house. I can park 5 cars out there and still get out of my garage in needed. All the pretty weather was about 3 inches deep. It was light and fluffy except where my tires smashed it into ice. The snow is shoveled off. The ice will remain until it warms up.
|
Every other year when I smog the 930 it's a slightly anxiety-provoking experience. Not that it has ever failed before. But still...
I have to either move to another state, or get an address in one of the 6 counties here in CA that don't smog. |
probably cheaper to get a PO box in one.

That's getting too hot there in that Alice Springs place!
Went to the grocery store and the Cayenne got around real well. Snow was staying on the main streets more than it usually does, but wasn't very slickery. Guess we didn't have the usual coating of ice before the snow started. It is amazing what some pop corn with generous amounts of Garlic Salt and Cayenne Pepper does for a runny nose with coughing and sore throat. Especially when followed by a few slices of French bread generously butter, garlic powder, and cayenne peppered, followed by some mozzarella cheese and a couple slices of pepperoni and melted/toasted in the toaster oven. Better than any of the cold and sinus remedies I've been using for the past 4 days. Almost symptomless. The problem I have with them smog tests... with sport cats my car would pass the actual sniffer levels with no problems, but with stock cats and air pump gone it would fail visual just because it is not stock. That is just wrong. When I had my 81 GMC Jimmy, I replaced the 305 ci with a 400 ci out of a 78 Monte Carlo. Because the motor was 79 or older I did not have to keep all the emissions stuff that was on the 81 305. I did have to take it to a shop that the guy came out and read the serial number off the block, then gave me a certificate exempting it from emissions. Costed $5. |
The 964 easily passed smog both times I took it in for testing. The engine is hardly broken in at ~ 40k miles. Maybe I need to mod the engine some so I can use up all the margin I have. :D

Smog? :p

Isn't Smog the dragon in that Hobbit story?
