Couldn't find phone. Stumbled back to beach and miraculously found phone in the sand. Texted Dave. Went back and passed out again. Just woke up.

So, our sunday plans completely did not happen.

Lol, the best things in life you just cannot plan, they happen...
How's the hangover Mike??

Good Morning guys.

I had a fun weekend in the garage. I am changing the mirror in my 911 to one of these:

http://www.blendmount.com/valentine.html

The mirror has the garage door buttons built in, a compas and a thermometer. The important thing is it is auto dimmimg, and I can mount my Escort right there.

The pain is running the wires, and re-wiring stuff I have done over the years.

I'll get right on that G.... When can I expect the shipment of $100s? I'd need a LOT of money to recreate the 924CGT.....

Morning

That's not a CGT but a GTR... I'm afraid my shipment of 100's will not be enough.... (but it should be arriving shortly...:D)

from Carrera GTS/GTR

Quote:

The GTR was, without question, the ultimate evolution of the 924 (still Using the 2.0L block). The GTP which followed was badged as a 924, but used the prototype 944 2.5L alloy block. How much power did the GTR motor make? Only God and Ferry Porsche know! Quoted numbers indicate 375hp, but that's sure to be a conservative estimate, and boost would regularly be adjusted as required. Longevity required was another major factor.

The GTR benefited from much development to date. The intercooler was relocated to the front, as with the GTS, but was much larger than the GTS, filling much of the nose of the car.

Bodywork has been much of an unknown at large, due to many variations and limited documentation. The bodywork shown on the red car above and below was the original factory customer bodywork. It greatly resembles the bodywork currently in vogue in the DTM touring car series.

We did not get BMW tourings of any flavor over here.... That thing be rare around here.

Geronimo '74 11-01-2010 09:16 AM

But it's a right hand drive..... Of course it's rare, because nobody needs it in a country where you drive on the right hand side of the road....

porsche4life 11-01-2010 09:34 AM

Its rare b/c its a wagon.... The RHD drive really doesn't bother me much... In fact in the US its seen as kinda cool.... Its just odd enough t be cool. :D

Geronimo '74 11-01-2010 10:06 AM

Over here you can't get rid of a RHD even if you give it away...

RKDinOKC 11-01-2010 11:03 AM

RHD is only cool in the US because the troopers will most likely give the passenger the ticket. :)
