We have to use an image. Then people complain that they use too much space and a lengthy thread gets too large to send. Duh! Don't use the image on the replies silly.

I am doing my usually stellar job of making it perfect. Users will have no option, the signatures will be added on the server after they send the email.

The above was just our internal signatures. Basically so users can tell what ext or moble to dial to voice you. I wanted to add a skype link. But boss no likey even though with Office365 everyone has skype.

Next I get to make outgoing signatures which will also include a logo, address, company phone, fax. And web, newletter sign up, youtube, facebook, and linked in links. And we have 7 locations that have different addresses and main phones. Oh boy.

I hate Microsoft!

I have had to re-install Win 10 three times today. They do make that fairly straightforward once you have installed it the first time. It know my activation code so I don't have to mess with that.

I got the system partially configured and Win 10 had some updates. Restart and no joy, everything is FUBAR SNAFU and messed up. I think I have a stable install. I almost hate to type that for fear it is reading my keystrokes and is gonna blow up again. I am about to call it a day with in 10. Time for a beer or two and a movie.

Know what you mean. Had all the email clients squared away on the signatures EXCEPT for Microsoft Outlook. Outlook didn't render the same on OWA for PC, OWA for Mac, Outlook for Windows or Outlook for Mac. They all render differently!?! What a cluster Truck*.

I suspect that phrase is close to a fudge cluster with a spoonerism added in.

My computer churned on the program that made it overheat in the past. It completed it successfully. The CPU never got about 47 C which is a lot better that the 67 C it was showing with the stock cooler.

Now I just need to reload the rest of the apps.

My current system is a fresh install. Takes a lot of time to go in and re-install all my software.
Since Apple is changing the file system on the next OS update, I am going to have to invest in upgrades to much of my software. And I bet some will just go away as well.

There is a good thing about working on Exchange Online Transport Rule on a holiday weekend. The rules are updated within minutes instead of hours due to low traffic.

Dang there is just a lot of programs to reload, and data files to get to the right place. I have been using Quicken to balance my checkbook sine 1989. Dang, really. I have my checkbook records that go that far back. I think that was the only time I had a computer crash and I lost data. Since then I have had different ways to back up the important stuff, the data.

This entire episode makes me want to move to a mirrored and striped array of SSDs. So just four 1TB Solid state drives. Gasp. Maybe after we land a big project.

Oh, well. Its coming back to normal.

With my Mac I have a program called Migration Assistant. Don't know if there is anything like that on the PC, I would hope so. Instead of updating my systems I do a clean install, then migrate all my programs and data from either my Time Machine or bootable backup. Usually make a fresh bootable backup just before upgrading. Can even pick and choose the programs and data I want to migrate to the new system. Is a bit of a hassle because I have to go thru and set my settings they way I like them. And it does take a lot more time than just upgrading the system. Like the idea of clean installs though.

I think it's a federal law. I grilled pork chops and steak tonight. Ate one of the chops...mmmmm. Wife enjoyed her steak rare. We're safe from the Feds now. ;)

Them Double RR Bar sliders were pretty darn good. Like it when I put the deli sliced ham on the grill and crisp it up while grillin the burger. Like doin the same thing for egg, ham, and cheese sammich or just about any ham sammich lately.

Pork chops or steak sounds gouda too.

When I walked into the grocery store yesterday morning they were cookin bacon. It made me buy bacon. On the way out they were baking ciminon rolls. Curbed that impulse despite the intoxicating aroma.

Got the oil changed in both daily drivers today. Due to space constraints I do those in the driveway and big was it toasty. After I got the first one done I hopped in the pool fully clothed and did the second in one in wet clothes, have to say that actually helped.


Also got the tank strainer out of the 944 and cleaned it. Didn't see any build up and it looks clear after a carb cleaner bath. I'll see tomorrow if that made a difference or not. Still need to pop the new timing and balance belts on too.

I'm no fan of working on cars in the heat. For that matter, I'm no fan of working on them when it's cold outside. Or wet. Or snowing. I'm a wimp.

My problem is that no matter how careful I try to be I end up breaking something unrelated to whatever it is I am trying to fix. Didn't used to be that way. Used to be just taking something apart and putting it back together magically fixed it. Have even taken the 400 cuin motor out of a Monte Carlo, rebuilt it, and put it in my Blazer that originally had a sucky 305 cuin. And it even got better gas mileage!

Have even successfully rebuilt Porsche seat switches with all those freakin springs and BBs in them.

Don't know what it is, but in the last 15 years I just can't seem to fix anything without breaking something else. Getting to where I am half afraid to just check and top up the fluids. Maybe it's all the dried out brittle plastic stuff under the hoods these days.

We got up and went to breakfast again. Then got home, watched the F1 race and then I mowed the lawn. It was just in the 80s so not super hot. The weather for tomorrow is forecast as low 90s for Labor Day. Since that is the traditional end of summer the weather is going to cooperate. We are supposed to be mid 70s all week for the HIGH temp. Whooo Hooooo

We only had two days in august that were above normal, the rest were below normal and some were almost 20 degrees below normal. It was the 5th or 4th wettest August on record. I am loving the weather here.
