you are so fired!!!!

RKDinOKC 09-01-2017 10:38 AM

Never felt more exhausted than after I got moved into the drafting department from being a macinist and had to push a pencil all day. Just wore a feller out.

RKDinOKC 09-01-2017 10:39 AM

So whatta yall think about my bro saying I should to sell the 928 as soon as it gets out of the shop?

flipper35 09-01-2017 10:42 AM

What would you replace it with?

Jim Richards 09-01-2017 10:42 AM

If you're enjoying the Cayenne a lot, maybe it's time to cut the 928 loose.

And David, thanks for firing me! More time off! Whoohoo!

914 2.0?

flipper35 09-01-2017 10:46 AM

Nah, maybe a 924! Half the cylinders, half the issues!

If I got a 914 2.0 then I would also have to get another Boxster so I could have owned 2 of each Porsche I've owned.

Thinks I should also replace the Cayenne with something cheaper to drive. He drives a brand new Ford Escape and thinks any Porsche is expensive to own and drive. He spent $33K on the Escape. Don't think he understands I have only spent $15K on the Cayenne Turbo.

RKDinOKC 09-01-2017 11:08 AM

If I could think of something I wanted I would have taken the $70K I was offered 2 years ago before I put the 928 in the shop.

Jim Richards 09-01-2017 11:10 AM

Lose the 928 and Cayenne and get a pimped out Panamera.

Guy I knew a work was really into boats. When he retired he sold his house, he and his wife disappeared for 4 years out sailing around. Started in the Pacific.

Looks like Macans are still over 40K. Panameras have dropped to 30 to 35K.

RKDinOKC 09-01-2017 11:46 AM

Any boat would be bigger than what I have now. Heck, I don't even have a rubber ducky let alone a floatation device.

flipper35 09-01-2017 11:50 AM

If you buy a Panamera you need to play this song while driving.

Oh Man, my current project is using the transport rules in Exchange to automatically add signature to everyone's email to standardize them.

Just making a simple internal email signature like below is a challenge.

Richard K Davis, ESQ
Friendly Neighborhood Email Administrator
Ext. 1234 | M 405.555.1212 | @zipbang.com

Some people have extensions, some don't...same with mobile phones. So there has to be different rules for each option. And the only logic is if a field like MobilePhone contains certain text like "M" to NOT use that rule. ie reverse logic. It takes 4 separate rules to do the signature above depending on the phone combinations.

Then there is the way different Email Clients render html and fonts and their sizes, spacing, and line heights. The html has to be old school in-line styles. No style sheets.. and about half the time Exchange changes or completely removes the html style coding.

If that wasn't challenge enough, when you make a change to the transport rule that adds a signature it may take anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours for the change to take effect so you can see what that change did.

What a challenge indeed. An exercise in Creativity, Resourcefulness, Endurance, Determination, and Patience.

Think it is interesting the only people that want their title's like ESQ after their name are HR and Training. Nobody else cares.
