Jacob says he would like the rib place for his birthday meal if that is ok with yins. His birthday is the 20th.
I know a few people that have a small instant water heater to warm the water until the regular hot water got there. At work we have the recirculation thing for the hot water and it works well. Don't know if it saves them anything. |
Sounds like Earl's Rib Palace it is.
Which direction, on what highway are you heading out of OKC? There are several Earl'ses. The one in bricktown is basically where I-40 crosses I-35 and has bunch of walking around with the canal and all. There is another one that is close to our houses that is not far off I-35 and I-44 But it's not got as much purdified surroundings, it is next to a Petsmart and Home dePot parkin lot. |
Yea, the Earl's in Bricktown is a good choice. It does involve a little walking. We can park over by the Toby Kieth's place called "I love this bar and grill" and then we can walk across the bridge across the canal. It is a short hike. The weather is supposed to be chamber of commerce approved perfect weather.
The address is 310 Johnny Bench Dr, Oklahoma City, OK 73104 It is just a little west of Bass Pro. Earl's is fine with me. Mrs Carrera even wants to come. |
Isn't Toby's on the same side of the canal?
|
Yea, but we have to cross a bridge to get to the upper deck as I remember. It has been a while since I was down there. The canal is just outside at Earl's.
|
There is a sidewalk ramp at the southwest corner of Toby's that goes right up to Earl's. Not as scenic, but a lot less walkin. Guess it depends on where you find a parking spot and which side of Toby's you go around.

It's a date then.

yes have been all over the news here the fires, so many homes destroyed and people lost, horrific. When we went into Cali on our bike trip about 6 weeks ago, it was so smokey and there was a ring of fires around then, it doesn't seem to be getting any better. |
They need to hurry up and start getting the rains that cause all the mudslides to put the fires out.
Have a nephew that turned down some really good job opportunities in Florida working on fancy smancy yacht motors. Stayed there for 6 months. Said he couldn't handle the fact that all the waterways had sharks and gators, and the other areas have huge constrictor snakes. Thought that was kind of odd because he is one of those hard core outdoorsy trapper/hunter types. Probably tried to go out hunting by himself without a local guide and scared the snot out of himself. |
Morning all. We are off to another PCA club breakfast. It is at a local German bakery that has a good buffet.
|
Well I don't know about everyone. Pete might bring that white stuff with him. :)
|
That is only when he visits Rick. Since Rick does not love us anymore and has abandoned us the spell is broken. That is my theory!
Brent, I am looking forward to meeting up with you and the family. Since I have a beard, I don't do many ribs. I get enough food in my beard without ribs. Send me a text or call me when you are getting close to OKC. I guess you are trying for 3:00 PM and that is my plan. See ya then! |
