One standard DVD is 4 gig. You can do a dual layer DVD for almost 8 gig.
Thumb drives are cheap however. Just get them to put them on their computers and don't rely on the thumb drive for long term storage. That is one reason I like Ancestry.Com I only have the dead folks records available to anyone. All living people are still hidden to all but family members. The records will be online forever. I uploaded the full resolution images. |
Put a web site up using Piwigo for my brother's in-laws for all their fambly shots. They just been uploading pics as they scan em. They aren't putting any descriptions or even sensible names though. But, hey, they are happy as larks yankin worms outta soft dirt to have all their different fambly fotos in one place.
Took the oldest sister's husband a couple of years to get away from trying to distribute the photos on CD. The youngsters kept telling him to just put them on-line. Now he keeps telling everyone there are new pics on-line. |
We have a prime account so we can backup all our pics at no extra charge. We can also setup albums to share with certain peeps.

Finally, a sunny day and highs in the low 70s. It's been too long...
We went out sailing for a few hours. I almost forgot how much fun that is! Arrrghh... |

Oh yeah, Happy Saturday to y'all!

Hey, it is Saturday. But the mean boss is gonna make me work again today. Gotta go up to Wichita, KS area. Going in a Cessna 172 makes it a lot faster than the El Camino or 911. Oh well, someone has to do it.

We are lunch at Stearman airport in Kansas. They name it for the over dozen residents that own a Stearman airplane. It is a super nice place to live if you like airplanes. The residents can just taxi up to their houses, and park the airplane in the really big garages most people call hangars. There is a nice house attached as well. Great restaurant. EDIT: Our trip up was at an average of 78 to 82 knots. The trip home was average 140 knots. We are drooling all over a Cessna 182. Super nice airplane. All glass panels instruments. Just a fantastic aircraft. |
In my 20's knew some of the actual Stearman family.
Seemed like a shame they weren't much into flying. They were from the Wichita area though. Went to my brother's church. The Dad, Gary Stearman hosted a Christian radio talk show. |
Interesting Thurday was cooler by a couple of degrees both low and high than Friday. So used more electricity Friday. Due to the SmartHours billing thing the cost was exactly the same. And despite similar temps this weekend compared to last weekend my cost is HALF!

I am taking credit for bringing the cooler and dryer weather back from Kansas.
I got early and washed the 911, then mowed the yard. Then took a nap. |
I should’ve mowed the grass, but it was sailing weather today. Hehehe.

Great Day in the Morning!
Totally ignoring that this is a Monday. Considering this the best mindset to keep a positive mood going. Got to run some errands this morning. The mpm, Morons Per Mile, encountered will most likely effect overall attitude and maybe even cause expletives. |
I went over to my business partner's house and had my sun glasses on as always. I had my regular glasses in the microfiber bag I use for whet-ever pair of glasses are not on my face. I managed to drop my glasses right in front of my foot and when I stepped forward I stepped right on the glasses and broke one lens. The frames are fine because they are the "Flexon" brand and they just twist and pop back into shape.
I have worn glasses for 30 years and that is the first time I ever broke any lens. I have broken some frames over the years on my sunglasses but those are easily replaced and I can pop the prescription lens back into a new pair. Oh well once rush hour is over I will drive the two miles to the optometrist I use for my glasses. I am using my backup pair and they are just the same prescription but the lenses get small scratches after several years of use. I know they are at least 5 years old. |

Morning all. Great weekend for nothing to do but chores. One step closer to getting the 911 out from under the mess of dads crap.
Who wants to explain it to T77911S? |
Thought the rule was...Post a picture of yourself, then we will consider you a stijn poster.
