Probably just full of it.

Have pictures from my colonoscopy that prove I am empty.

Good Monday morning all.

When I donate blood and they do the iron test with a drop of blood in the blue liquid, it sinks to the bottom right away. Then the blood institute had a positive pop up on my blood to Chagas disease. WFT, they tested it again, and it was negative for Chagas, but one false positive is enough to put me off the donation list. There has never been a case of Chagas acquired in Oklahoma, ever. They know I was free of it for years of donations.

Just this year I participated in a scientific research study about Chagas. Since I have lived in this house for over 20 years they even tested my next door neighbor as part of the study. We went down to the Dr.s office doing the study, and they drew a small vial of blood and had the CDC do a definitive test, twice, a month apart. They confirmed I am not positive for Chagas and disease free. They still will not accept my blood because I was once had a positive on the test. They do a ton of tests on blood donations. I always thought of it as a free health check. ;)

If they still don't want my blood, I won't give em any! I donated just over 5 gallons of the years.

Quit giving blood the second time in a row it took them more than 2 times sticking me to find a vein.

iHola, y’all! It’s a sunny, warm Saturday here SoCal. I’ll be back in the garage, working on the Z, after knocking out a honey-do for my better half. Retirement is not too bad. :)

Jeff, my brother in law has been told to cook everything in iron cookware and eat iron fortified everything. It helps some.

Cool and raining here today. Again.

Any of you OK people be around the 11th? (I think)

GH85Carrera 10-01-2018 11:45 AM

11th of October? Year I will be here. I may have a flight to do in the afternoon weather permitting. Depending on timing I can show you our 182T in it's hangar. It is a 20 minute drive from my house on the west side of the city.

flipper35 10-01-2018 12:44 PM

We are headed to OK after checking out in Austin so we should have a fair amount of time this time through.

I wanted to see some great people instead of just OK, but I think they are on a different continent!

So, does that mean you're coming to SoCal? :D

afternoon all. Working on panel drawings and on hold with various doctors offices finding out who I owe money to for dad's bills.

RKDinOKC 10-01-2018 02:20 PM

far as I can tell, wlll be around on 10/11.

They implemented a new helpdesk software to make things easier to track. Of course, it made it much more difficult and has you enter a bunch of info that don't matter. And forget about finding similar incidents or solutions. Oh, but you got lots of priority options to click on.

The best part is that it sends you an email of a ticket you are assigned. That ticket has not info except you have been assigned the ticket. It does have a link to the system, but the link takes you to a list of ALL the open tickets! How helpful is that.

GH85Carrera 10-01-2018 02:22 PM

Oh boy!

I got a nice letter from one of my doctors. It is time for another colonoscopy. Whoo weee party time.

GH85Carrera 10-01-2018 02:42 PM

I went to my standard convenience store to get some beer. It is now Oct 1st and the new laws are in effect, so I expected a nice selection. Not one beer was in the place. It was a zombie apocalypse horror scene.

So I went across the street to a newer store an figured they would be stocked up. Nope, just a few cans of beer and that was it.

So off to the BIG convenience a mile further west. They have a big "beer cave" and lo and behold, cold bottles and a modest selection. I will have to find a place to get some Erdinger Dunkle. The best beer on the planet. I had to go to the BIG liquor stores to get it in the past.

RKDinOKC 10-01-2018 03:07 PM

Kinda wonder what the corner gas station, beer and liqour store is gonna do. Looks to me like they sell as much acoholic beverage as the do gasoline. Maybe they are just low because of all the beer mongers are stocking the grocery stores. Have notice over the last week they have been putting an entire isle in at the grocery store I frequent.

That is something I was so fortunate with, when my was at the end of his life. His 24 years of service in the Air Force and some of his paying for Tricare, meant that hospital bills that were many pages long with complex procedures and cancer treatments were all paid for with insurance. At the bottom of several pages it would have a patient total = $0.00

The Air Force stole my daddy for 18 months in the 1960s, and he was away from home on more TDY (temporary duty) assignments for 3 months at a time, than I can count. He had over 13 in flight emergencies flying Air Force aircraft and made over 50 flights round trip from Hawaii to California, dozens of trips to Japan, and other Pacific islands where there is nothing but ocean to look at for 12 hours at a time.

Thanks Dad! I miss ya.

That sounds easy, just throw the plans on the ground outside in the dirt. Grounded! Or make them go to their room and cut off all internet and TV, and take away the car keys.

Porsche-poor 10-02-2018 08:05 AM

something about "BARE" copper wires......I feel dirty............

GH85Carrera 10-02-2018 08:40 AM

Maybe it is bear copper wire, made to look like a bear.

I have understood the basics of electricity and "grounding" for a long time. Of course with a car, the chassis or frame is good ground source. I was helping me father in law with a small project and he went to his truck and pulled out a huge copper rod that we proceeded to pound into the ground. First with a slide hammer, then with a sledge hammer.

Porsche-poor 10-02-2018 08:43 AM

yep that's what I am drawing up. The layout for the ground grid and location for the ground rods along with all the installation details.
