Morning all. On the subject of vacation. The company that bought us out is a use it or loose it type. I got extensions for the last two year because of work. Now this year I was told not more and that I should just plan to make sure I take it off. So that's the plan. On 12/21 I'll either be sick for 2 hours or come in for 2 hours then be off till after new years.

Retirement training!

Porsche-poor 12-12-2018 09:00 AM

I wish. More like fret over college payments time.

Little late for good mornin here so g'day eh?

Welp, my old Photoshop 5.5 finally died. No longer runs well enough to use. Guess I get a new copy of Creative Cloud whatever that is. Told my boss my C5.5 of Creative Suite finally died and need photoslop and Acrobait. Got Creative Cloud. Guess its off to see what that gets me.

Porsche-poor 12-12-2018 09:28 AM

if you want photos of clouds call Glen.

Jim Richards 12-12-2018 09:56 AM

Don’t know about the creative part, but it’s partly cloudy right now.

RKDinOKC 12-12-2018 09:58 AM

Looks like he gave me access to ALL the Adobe apps both online and download. That is a bunch of software!

Got Photoslop. Man, it is different. Gonna take me a while to find my way around. Looks like they complicated it.
That's what they did with Freehand when they moved it to Illustrator. Was much faster with the old Freehand interface.

Gonna have to check out Acrobait. I liked being able to create pdf forms people could fill out and email back. Don't see that many if any people use that neat feature. Mostly what I do is add pdf documents together though.

The new apps are a resource hog but they have a lot of capabilities.

GH85Carrera 12-12-2018 10:39 AM

Yea, the new Photoshop is way different than the old. Having a 64 bit version OS and program helps the speed a lot from the old 8 bit version I started with. That and I have more RAM memory than my first several computer systems. At work the first computer I had was a 32 MB hard drive. Now I have a phone with 128 Gig. Amazing.

Well, she finally uploaded an original. She said the video is corrupt but the audio is OK.

Oh I totally know what you mean. People suck more than anybody.

RKDinOKC 12-12-2018 01:17 PM

There are good people and bad people...or so they say. Whomever "they" are.

One good thing about having a sweet gum tree in the front yard is that people STAY OFF MY LAWN!
Dogs too. Danged spiny balls.

flipper35 12-12-2018 01:54 PM

In general I dislike people until I get to know them. Once I know someone I might like them or I might think less of them. I am probably in the 20 less likeage to every 1 more likeage.

GH85Carrera 12-12-2018 02:27 PM

It so much depends on where I am dealing with other people. In the olden days of having to deal with customers, I grew to be a bit of a misanthrope.

Now most of the folks I meet are in the Porsche club, or at least car people. I can strike up a conversation with almost anyone.

We have met a few customers of our business and most all of them are nice folks.

Jim Richards 12-12-2018 03:04 PM

I try to be friendly to everyone I encounter; however, I don't have to stick around to suffer fools and buttheads. :)

Am friendly and even pleasant to everyone...
Mostly just avoid those people that hav proven themselves to me to be worth avoiding.
Have only told a very few people off negatively. Was on drugs at the time or would have kept my mouth shut and taken steps to avoid them in the future.

Porsche-poor 12-12-2018 03:33 PM

Sarcasm it's another service I provide. Some people just don't like it. Cuts down on having to be nice all the time.
