Morning all. Network all working today.
Well dang, the boss is forcing me to to take a big part of Thursday off work. I have to drive up to Hallett racetrack, almost 90 miles away, and drive brand new Porsches around the track. They are even serving lunch. I really hate to miss the work at home, but I will suffer through it.
and suffer you will! when you get back the lawn will have grown...…………...
90 miles is a long way for lunch. You should take the plane.

Declare an emergency, you will be fine!

I will just drive the 911. I was going to do a good wash and cleanup tomorrow morning to get ready for the car show on the 21st. Now I will just drive it more, get it dirtier. Then clean it up this weekend.
I guess that works too.
what you have a dirty 911? That's against the rules.
Yea, it has several big juicy bug hits from driving to the autocross. It ain't filthy, but it ain't clean like it is supposed to be.
There is an actual chance for rain on Thursday, so it might get real dirty. It has been dirty before, and will be again. It cleans up real good. My brother comes through with his wife and his brother in law on the ay to Colorado to visit their youngest son who lives in Colorado. I will need to sweep out the garage and get the 911 all all cleaned up and under the car cover in the garage before they get here. |
Careful glen, they might try to get you to buy one of those newfangled cars.

The last time I did the same event, the Cayman was the best handling car and lots of fun. The 911 had the most HP of course. The Boxster was nice too, but I will not be owning a convertible. The day that crazy rich guy shows up and pays me 100K for my 911, I might go buy a Cayman. I figure that will happen right after the US Congress passes a unanimous proclamation honoring Donald Trump and makes it a new holiday. |
morning all. Clean the bugs off you might be just a tad faster. Oh and no good deed goes unpunished. Doing yard work last night my back went out.

There was a guy at the autocross shooting photos of the cars. He got a good one for me. Weeeeee |

My favorite picture of me autocrossing. Like the fact I am taking a corner and the only thing really in focus is the turbo script on the back of the car. This was when I had updated the suspension except for the front springs so it kinda nose dived in the front in corners. Upgrading the front springs to progressive 180-400 flattened it out without making the ride any harsher. |
Oh wow man. Like they had a special meeting classifying almost all the jobs where I work as "safety sensitive." Like that means no getting high even if you gots a marijuana card. And you get fired if you drug test positive for pot too, card or no. Also no pot possession or pot smoking on campus. Bummer maannn, they are really killing the buzz.
its legal here in WA but it will get you fired from my work cause of federal contracts.....
It is legal here if you got a medical card. (those are easy to get.) But they just added a new State law it is NOT legal even with a card if you are doing a safety sensitive job where a mistake could hurt yourself or others.
so no drinking at lunch either I take it?

I have zillions of photos of my 911 at autocrosses going back to 1996. I have always been a technician photographer. I prefer tack sharp, all the detail clear properly exposed full dynamic range photos of any subject. I quit taking Popular Photography when they started publishing some "artist" photos where he took a match to blurry images on film and called it art.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1568230224.jpg I do like this shot a lot, even with the blurry wheels, because of the clouds and the slip angle of the rear end. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1568230342.jpg I will stop with that one, on the tail of the dragon in Tennessee. I only have a few hundred pictures of my 911. |
