Hopefully you’re well stocked with alcohol (drinking kind) to kill unwanted germs / viruses / brain cells. SmileWavy

Hehe. Picked up 3 bottles of Johnny Walker Blue label 'duty free' on the way back into oz. :D

For medicinal use, naturally.

Naturally

We are off to risk death and disease to eat breakfast in a public restaurant. We like to live live on the edge.

I've just done the weeks grocery shopping from the comforts of the fart sack, for the very first time. :D

This concept of online grocery shopping has been available to us for quite some time, but I've always viewed it as being lazy. Never considered all the people that have a genuine reason for a service (at a delivery cost of course) like this - a bit of poor form on my part.

Although, I'm not sure I'll set a foot in another grocery store again.

We’ll wander down to the harbor to walk the attack Schnauzer. Try explaining social distancing to a creature that sniffs faces, butts, and crotches of everyone they meet.

Today is our 28 year anniversary, so back to Pearl's for dinner tonight!

Hard to believe it has been 28 great years. We met 29 years ago so almost 1/2 my lifetime.

Been on-line shopping and delivery for months that I haven't been able to walk very far. Usually took me an hour before. Costs $10 per shopping run. Get enough stuff for a week.

They used to bring it in the house, now they ring and run. Must be a Coronas thing.

The only thing that does not survive delivery is taco shells. The taco gets soggy by the time it arrives.

Gradcundulations to the Hoskins couple.

All clear from CDC, woohoo!

We braved the weather, (real heavy mist) and wet to breakfast and then the grocery store.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584284066.jpg
The TP and paper towel aisle was stripped bare. Just a box of cereal that escaped from someone's basket.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584284066.jpg
Not much in the bleach aisle.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584284066.jpg
Just some hamburger and hot dog buns in the bread aisle.

We don't need any TP, so no big deal. We did find one bottle of bleach that we need for day to day stuff and it was time to buy some anyway.

I would have bought some bagels if they had the cinnamon and raisin I like. They were out of those last visit as well.

They had 4 or 5 stockers working hard in the canned food aisles, and lots of product to put out in other departments. They said they had a lot of product in the back, and on order. Just getting people that are willing to work is the challenge. We always go on a Sunday morning. Usually there are just one or two other people in the store. This time it was busy.

The ramen noodles area was empty, but I don't care. The pasta areas are really low. It was funny in the cereal aisles. Only the crappy stuff or kids cereals on the bottom shelf were left.

The good news is the wine and beer department was 100% stocked up. Not that I buy any wine ever, and I get my beer at the corner convenience store.

Congrats on the “all clear,” Jeff!

Friend in Austin sent me similar pictures from their big grocery store, HEB.

He thinks people will stop going to stores and home delivery will be big business.
They have already started piling stuff at the front door, then ring and run.
So far they sit in their cars and wait for you to take stuff in so no porch pirates.

Groceries arrived this arvo. 4 items unavailable, and two items substituted for different brands. One surprise was Lamb being unavailable. It’s an expensive meat in oz coz most of it goes overseas. I ordered it figuring it would be one of the last meats to sell out.

Some Aussie boffins reckon they have a cure.

Cure’ found for coronavirus in Australia
Some patients who tested positive for coronavirus in Australia have already been treated with one of the drugs and “all did very, very well,” researchers say.

Happy Monday all. Except Jim and Jeff, happy Saturday for them.

The Oklahoma governor declared a state of emergency, and the mayor of Oklahoma City, declared and emergency. So we are in a double emergency. Now I guess I should run in circles, scream and shout.

RKDinOKC 03-16-2020 06:07 AM

Warched a youtube video a Great Brittain couple made and talked about being on a cruise ship in the orient, testing positive. They were removed from the quarantined ship to be hospitalized. After 4 hours of testing doctors allowed the chest infection run it's course because it was "viral" and not "bacterial" and their bodies would fight it. They were seniors whom were up on all their flu shots, etc. The guy had major shortness of breath problems and his blood oxygen was 93%. Said if any lower than 92 he would be put on a ventilator. He did his own breathing exercises, blood levels increased and he got much better quickly. Said that now they were only testing positive for the virus in their nasal cavities and would be released when all clear.

GH85Carrera 03-16-2020 06:09 AM

There have been several confirmed cases of people testing positive of the virus, and they have no symptoms at all. They are just carriers.
