I just made my run to the local Braum's for nanners, bread and lunch meat. They had no lunch meat in the spot where it normally is. So I asked, and she went to the back and found the last case of turkey. I got just one package, as I did not want to be a hoarder. I ended up with some hot dogs and buns as well.
I have been making about three trips per week for supplies. It is about the only time I leave the house. |
It's too bad Braums is not on instacart. Walmrat was for a short time, then started doing their own. Now Target is there instead. I have been living like I was quarantined since I lost mobility with that stroke over 6 months ago. Only difference is they drop at the door and a wash stuff as I bring it in.
Instacart has CVS pharmacy. But they won't deliver some of my drugs. So, I use a pharmacy that is near my doctor's office that delivers. |
You are well aware of your many high risk factors. As a diabetic overweight lifetime smoker with a weak immunity system you are a prime candidate. I am just a fat geezer and in a higher risk category. One thing I heard, and of course I have not seen any real data to confirm it, that O-positive blood types are less prone to get the virus. I can only hope that is try for my sake since I am O+.
Stay safe everyone. |
Morning all. Last night our stay at home order got extended to May 4th. What a mess.
|
Around here it seems waitstaff of closed dining rooms that have cars have become delivery drivers for the different ring and run services.
I put my order together and submit it at night after the store has closed. I usually get it by 9:45 the next day after the store opens. The risk is that sometimes the shelves are stocked, sometimes not. Most times it is stocked. Only bad thing I got this last time is crunchy instead of smooth peanut butter. Still no tp and the shoppers say it is limited to 2 packages per cart but the stock lasts less than an hour. |
Our Gov. is going to make it until end of April for now.
My wife's Amazon account somehow got hacked once again. She has a pretty hard password already. She finally called Amazon and their tech support changed it, and texted her a new password. Then she went in, and changed it to a new every harder password. The Amazon tech support said most likely her email was hacked, and to change the email account password. 25 years ago or so when we moved to this house dial-up was really slow, so we switched to Cox digital phone line and I got the full 56K speed. I set up my main email account, and a few others and one for my wife. It is the account in use for years. We had no smart phone as no one did either. Later as we evolved into using smart phones we started using Richard's email service to sync everything on all devices through and Exchange server. Any Cox email I just had forwarded to the other account and all is fine. Right now the Cox.net residential service must have the Rona virus. I had to call tech support and it took almost 30 minutes to get a tech on the line. She changed the password on that and I can log into it with that new password, but I can't change it because the Cox email server is choking and it says to try again later. So whatever was going on, we have new passwords at least and no more Amazon issues. |
They changed a bunch of security stuff on my credit union's web site. Had to delete all my browser setting and then restart my whole computer. Restarting the browser or using a different broswer did not resolve the issue.

Wow, Had to make new passwords to log into anything

Hey, Saturday for everyone!
Since the CBS all access thing is free for a month, I signed up , and have been watching it. Well first I watched Picard, and really liked that one. The Star Trek Discovery is good, but I hate that they decided to redo the Kiligons totally. They have a totally different look. I am trying to figure out the time line. I have to guess it is about the same era as Next Generation or just before. Since Warf was a crew member on TNG, and the Federation is at war with the Klingons I have to guess it is more in the timeline with the first star Trek. Of course the special effects are modern and orders of magnitude better than the show made for low definition 1960s TV sets. The swords look real and not made of corrugated cardboard. Gotta get through all the seasons before the end of the month. |
The F1 Series thing on netflix is good. All the behind the scenes stuff. It was all about last season.
I do the Kodi thing. And have about watched all the Anime series' with Crunchy Roll. Even though most of them are subtitled. |
Stijn!!
Evidently the Discovery version is the days of Captain Pike, before Kirk. So much before TNG. The original Enterprise. NCC 1701.

I just had a pair of V-22 (or MV-22) Ospreys fly over our house, maybe 200 ft or so above the ground. Loud as hell. How’s about a little more social distancing, eh?
|
I almost had a ride in one of them a couple of years ago, until they decided that the beach we wanted to go to wouldn’t likely support a landing.
|
We've been havin planes fly over. Low. Stealth Bombers even. Some neighbors posted their houses were shaking the planes were so low. Me, I never heard or saw nuthing.

Another cloudy cold day here. I remember in the past we had blue skies. The weather man says we might have warm weather agan on Monday. The local station we watch is still family owned. No giant national corporation running things. They own the station here in town, and one in Tulsa. Virtually the same logo, the local station is Channel 9 in Tulsa they rotate the logo 180 degree and it is a 6.
Someone in the Tulsa office tested positive for C-19 so they closed up to deep clean the building, and just used the local Ch9 broadcast in Tulsa. They are the station that was the first to issue a tornado warning ever, and they have a huge investment in the weather department. They have a radar more advanced that the one at the national weather bureau in Norman. In the move Twister at the first of the movie the weatherman on TV is Gary England, and he was the actual weatherman for many decades. He retired a few years back. |
I liked that movie.
We’re starting to see some light rain. The forecast is rain for the next 5 days. I have some drywall finishing to do today. I cut open some bathroom drywall to install an outlet near the toilet that I previously added the bidet seat to. My temporary extension cord power was thankfully removed a few days ago when I finished the electrical. Maybe tomorrow I’ll paint the patched areas. |
