I don't mind if they come to me, but mom has dementia and that is unacceptable for them to call her.

I ordered some items yesterday afternoon from Amazon. Nothing I needed right away. Some 3 inch cutoff wheels for my air powered cutter. My old disk was getting rather small and cutting the tree post in half for the new garden used up a lot of it. Anyway, I wanted to get some back "in stock" for the next project, ad Amazon delivered them this morning at 3:51 AM. Some route driver has a very busy day.
Of course, if it was something I was desperate to get, it would take weeks to get here. Next month would have been fine, but there are here and stored away. |
Morning all. What fun the first interview and its a 1.5 hour commute.................
|
Yuck. I hope that will not be your daily commute, and you can work from home or closer to home.
One of my former co-workers drove a 75 minute commute every day. Rain shine and in winter weather. He almost never late. He did not remember if his pickup had 800,000 miles or 700,000 miles. He drove an old Dodge Ram converted to run on propane. I could not do that. |
Interview on Tuesday in Tacoma but yes that would be the daily commute in one direction. I really don't want this job. LOL
|
We are likely to have a freeze tonight. 32 degrees is the forecast.
Then during the week, warmer weather! |
Morning all. Not a bad weekend here. No freezing that I know of.
|
Morning. A tad damp yesterday. Today pretty much the same.
|
Morning all. I am in Big Cedar, MO outside of Branson, MO
My wife's two of her grade school friends and their husbands. So 6 of us sharing a nice condo. |
Have fun. The flower bed will still be there when you get home.
|
Morning all. Back to lots of liquid sunshine here.
|
We have full sun today. It was COLD and overcast yesterday. The crowds are way down to almost deserted. We are loving that.
|
no crowds here but in my dining room they would have to be invited.
|
Another day of eating. We all had breakfast, sat and chatted, then loaded up in the 6 passenger Mercedes, and drove for a mile to Low Gap Cafe. Fantastic food, I had Mahi-Mahi a slab of fish the size of my hand. Huge and fresh.
|
Morning all. Sounds great. Where was the invite?
|
Phew, we are back safe and sound.
650 miles total for the round trip. The most annoying part is waiting and waiting and waiting on the other two ladies. Both are very slow to get moving in the mornings, or anytime we are ready to leve to go somewhere. My wife is like me, ready long before we need to leave. And both of the other couples live life later in the day and night than we do. So getting them up and ready before 8:30 AM to go eat breakfast is a challenge. The both stay up until after midnight, and can't wake up in the mornings. Arghhhhh. We go to bed at 10:30 and normally get up at 7:15 AM. I roll out of bed, awake, happy and ready to hit the bathroom and shower and be out of there by 7:30. My wife explained to me while dating to not talk to her until she talks to me first. Usually about 8:15 when we are home. Google the Low Gap Cafe, in Jasper, AR and look for the menu. They have fresh seafood flown in regularly. He was a chef for several big name celebrities and work at high end restaurants. He finally said screw it, I want to go back home to Arkansas. I am real glad he did! Or check the menu here. https://www.zmenu.com/low-gap-cafe-jasper-2-online-menu/ |
We don't travel. My wife travels. I won't have anything to do with anyone traveling. If I'm going someplace, I'm going by myself. I don't go anywhere unless it's a destination for a purpose.
I can look at anything in the world from this chair. Wasn't always like that so I explored. Mainly CA and the west coast. Never had a passport and I don't suppose I'll be getting one. |

The two other women in the group attended grade school through college with my wife. The definition of life long friends. The two other ladies both picked great husbands and one has been married 50 years, and the other 45. We are the newlyweds at just 32 years. The two other husbands are both great guys. One is a retired pharmacist, the other recently sold his dental practice after many years as a dentist. I am the only one in the group with no college degree, but I own my own business and I am the youngest of them all. |
Our weather is too screwed up to try to keep up with.
I usually go to bed between 8pm and 2:30am depending on my mood. Have to be up at 7 so the 2:30 nights are getting fewer as I get older. We will be in Van Buren AR the week after Easter. MiL lives there. We like to travel, but mostly National Parks. Have almost 390 to go. |
Yea, we have hit a lot of national parks. We have lifetime passes to the parks.

It was cool to see the place in person that I have heard about all my life. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1711680932.JPG Joshua tree park. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1711681066.JPG Acadia national park in Maine. Our list of parks is long a varied. |
