The following is hypothetical, of course. Especially fictional for law enforcement officers..

There is a guy who I see every day going to work on PCH & the 105 in a black 996TT with a nice exhaust. Today, we both hit the 105 on ramp at the same time- it goes uphill and has a nice s-curve in it before straightening out onto the elevated highway. He gets on it and I follow. He took notice and we both slalomed the curves at around 90 MPH. I kept pulling gears, but hit traffic. I was doing around 130 MPH at this time.

The turbo was well past 140 MPH & I lost sight of him after I had to slow down.

I want one. Or a 348. I don't know.

I'd go for the turbo, hypothetically speaking of course.
As much as I like the 348, I like the Turbo more.

slodave 01-21-2011 01:24 AM

The devil is emerging from her azz?

Rick V 01-21-2011 01:26 AM

I expect she would get me in a hell of a lot of trouble.

slodave 01-21-2011 01:30 AM

So, speaking of balls...

Bearings or brakes? The Toyota is making funny sounds, but it almost seems like I can make it go away with heavy foot pressure. Depends on the speed. Starting to get annoying.

Oh yeah, yanking on the e-brake doesn't do much, except slow it down drastically.

Rick V 01-21-2011 01:36 AM

Does the noise change or go away when you turn at speed?

slodave 01-21-2011 01:40 AM

That's kind of hard to answer so far. Surrounding's have not lent well to test for that.

Rick V 01-21-2011 01:42 AM

well you can always jack the car up and run it, put a long screwdriver against the hubs and the handle in your ear and listen. (redneck stethoscope) Or simply turn the radio up.

slodave 01-21-2011 01:47 AM

I need to rotate the tires, so I was thinking about that... Yeah, I have been turning the radio up. :D

Rick V 01-21-2011 01:49 AM

Peggy has no road noises what soever. :)

Geronimo '74 01-21-2011 02:04 AM

Fock yes, Friday....
