Okay time for that PMS part of my day. Ya'lll have fun

livi 11-10-2011 03:41 AM

IŽll blame it on you guys for talking me into stalking the poor guy. :D

livi 11-10-2011 03:46 AM

I have a feeling Vas is an individual with a high level of integrity. If he says he donŽt know if or when he will be back, then thats it. He will most likely not succumb to stalking initiatives. Alas.

livi 11-10-2011 03:53 AM

So anyway.

Yesterday I left work early in order to get a new set of winter tires mounted on my E36. Turns out the bolts are stuck. No matter what they tried, only resulted in rounded bolts. Told me to get to a shop and have it fixed before they could change the tires. Duh?!##"%
I drive 15 miles to a shop that after a lot of induction heat manages to loose the bolts. Takes them over an hour!
Back to the tire shop and they switch tires uneventfully.
Out on the road and there is the most horrendous knocking sound from the rear (sounds like someone is using a sledgehammer in the boot) and a rhythmic high pitch sound from the front.
Shop closed so I limp home. This morning I hesitate to take the car to work but as the alternative would imply going by bus, I give it a try.
Behold! No strange sounds at all. Drives like it should.

I hate old cars.

ah, in that case, time to buy a new car
to help you out, i'll take the E36 and 911 off your hands.
I offer you handload ammo in trade. 5 boxes of .45 acp sounds fair, right?
i'll load em extra hot, coz i hear it's cold in Sweden.

Icemaster 11-10-2011 05:09 AM

You think they would have figured it was better to call it wonder DE-boner?

GH85Carrera 11-10-2011 05:47 AM

Good morning all.

Thanks for the D-day wishes. Today is the 28th anniversary of my 29th birthday. I may have to grow old but I ain't gonna grow up!

Eh.. perhaps not. But thanks.

livi 11-10-2011 06:09 AM

That quote turned out wrong. Hm..

livi 11-10-2011 06:13 AM

Morning Pete and Glen!

svandamme 11-10-2011 06:14 AM

man, i've driven my targa in the rain, with the roof off
it ain't a big deal really.
just go fast enough so only the rear seats get wet.

livi 11-10-2011 06:17 AM

Its the rust man! The risk of turning it into a pile of rust.

Besides. I loath washing my cars. The 911 only gets one wash per season.
