:):)

I got an email from Melanie at Ruf.
Centercaps for my wheels are still available and cost 190 bucks plus shipping for a set of four...
That's a hellovulot cheaper than 300 plus shipping that I got offered from a guy here on the board....
Money out the door.....

Porsche-poor 03-17-2011 07:51 AM

bet he thought he had an N/A item and could get the price........

Geronimo '74 03-17-2011 07:54 AM

Luckily I looked a bit further into it.
Now I guess I better finish the rebuild....

GH85Carrera 03-17-2011 07:56 AM

G-man are doing the engine rebuild yourself or is it at a shop?

Porsche-poor 03-17-2011 07:59 AM

Did the disassembly myself, still need to clean most of the parts.... (I hate cleaning parts)

I was planning on doing the rebuild myself but I don't reall want to be practicing my mechanical capabilities on my own engine.... So I'm having it done. This way I will have warranty on the build too...
Parts are scattered in my garage, some are already at my mechanic.
Gearbox is already rebuild.
Still looking for a good set of SSI's, customs sent my MK muffler back to the states. (don't ask me why, they don't even know it themselves....)
The guy I bought it from is gonna send it back though. at my expense of course.

GH85Carrera 03-17-2011 11:26 AM

That will be a well traveled muffler when you finally get it.

Geronimo '74 03-17-2011 12:03 PM

Have been going off on an oil buying spree this past week for the 4 vehicles (they're all due for changes soon). I think I've picked up about 64 quarts. Now I've got to find a place to stash it all in the garage.

GH85Carrera 03-17-2011 08:12 PM

Stijn!!

64 quarts. Wow that is a lot.

Good evening guys.

Bed time for me.

RKDinOKC 03-17-2011 10:15 PM

Oil sure makes a Huge difference in my GTS. Pretty much settling on Amsoil. The difference is when doing a lot of hard acceleration like at the autocross. Amsoil is the only oil that keeps the engine temps from rising and the idle oil pressure from dropping from 3 barr to 2 barr. As far as I can tell it is because it resists foaming and aeration.

Morning guys.
