Morning guys, got the results back on the piss culture.... A few things growing, but nothing out of the ordinary...

porsche4life 03-24-2011 08:27 AM

Glen, when given the two choices I was given, go to bed early, or hang out in the girls dorm.... Which would you honestly pick?

Porsche-poor 03-24-2011 08:36 AM

When I was your age, staying up with female types. BTDT

Back in the stone ages of the late 70s the women's dorms were locked down at 11:00 PM. I dated the lady that lived on the bottom floor and was the door keeper. Since she was supposed to be the upstanding citizen she could not be seen at a liquor store by the university staff or parents. I had to bring her liquor supplies. Once behind the locked doors it was party time. The days before AIDS, and herpes. The good ol days.

My brother get those types of projects, only scaled down to furniture. He works in a custom mill work and customers come in with some sketch that has no real scale or proportion. Sometimes it is like trying to build an optical illusion. The customer will draw a long rectangle and then put down a measurement that is almost a square. If it was easy everyone anyone could do it.

Porsche-poor 03-24-2011 11:51 AM

All done I think. This was not from the customer but from a senior level designer. He should have been able to take the shape and then use a steel book and make parts to fabricate it. I like doing this kind of work just not in an I want it yesterday mode.

We always want to tell the customers with a super short delivery "your failure to plan ahead does not constitute an emergency on our part."

Oooh.... Firefox 4 is out. Bit of a revamp to the GUI.

I wish that were the case, this is more of a "I'm working on it" only to find out its a mess and the client deadline would have been fine if hte work was right.

Its done and back in the hands of the boss. He will look at it tonight and itwill be and S.E.P. in the am.

GH85Carrera 03-24-2011 02:24 PM

Rick, at least he did not bring any snow to you. I hope he does not get down here.

nynor 03-24-2011 03:19 PM

pete3799 03-24-2011 03:32 PM

Not me.
Stuck at the house waiting for a load that pays more than the cost of fuel consumed to deliver it
Haven't turned a wheel in three weeks. Might as well have an auction.
Sunday was warm-snow was melting then Tues. back to winter.
Snow flurries highs in the low 30's into next week.
