i know there is some literature. however, i learned basic technique by searching the interwebs and then modified the procedures to my satisfaction. it is mainly about sterile/sanitary technique.

yep. glove box and all. i even have a flow hood available to me, i just need to pick the damn thing up. an autoclave (pressure cooker) is mandatory. and patience. lots of that.

i think i'll stick to the king oysters this winter. not only are they the easiest, they are the tastiest. they are also purported to have health benefits. i don't know how much i buy into that stuff, but there it is.
