Still, the 4x4 gets to have a play (I'll dig up some photos after dinner).

we got similar thing, was a shootout just before xmas, and the first response off gubmint it "we need to look at tighter gun regulations"

Which is totally retarded considering the fact that the gunman was an ex con who was not allowed to have weapons under the current regulations. Hell, he had grenades for crying out loud..

So the conclusion is "let's make tougher laws for the law abiding shooters, to try and fix the problem with people who don't care about those laws in the first place"

How does that make sense?!?

Vas and I were talking the other week and he was amazed how us Yanks talk and have guns like shoes. Our country was founded on the gun and some things never change. I for one believe a well armed society is a polite society.

Clearly we're not armed enough.

Funny, I didn't mind DC when I was there (2004) for a week. Mind you , the accomodation was at the Marriot Pentagon city and most of the week was R&R and spent on the Mall.

I did nearly every monument and spent a lot of time at the Smithonean Museums.

Come to think of it, I didn't feel too safe when the city closed up in the evenings and there was bugger all people about.

DC isn't all that bad, but it's a lame city to live in as compared to, say, NYC. And the weather kind of sucks. Oh, and being so close to those s-it politicians makes me feel dirty.

Hmm, I'm having a hard time finding any photos of my 4x4 in action. It appears that I'm the lead vehicle all the time? Oh well, have another photo of where I've been in cental oz instead (about 3hrs SW of the Alice);
