I have to get up early and meet with the insurance adjuster regarding the car I rear ended at the end of Dec. He is being a pain in the ass, claiming injuries and has a lawyer. He says I hit him at 60 MPH, which just isn't true. Other than my phone and glasses sliding off the pax seat, nothing else did and those two things commonly fly off the seat if I hit the brakes too hard.

BTW, Joe. I only know about the S430 and S550's... The S430 has an issue when I was driving it on the freeway and a warning light told me to immediately pull over - which I didn't. The front air suspension sprung a leak. That was an expensive fix. The headlights are not cheap either. Other than that, they hold up pretty well, though I now like the styling better on the current S class, than the previous. The new S550 has had a few issues too, mostly with the computer that runs the display and its features. At one point the backup camera would not turn off when put into drive, voice dialing went out the window and something else that I am forgetting.

All-in-all, to be expected by these new cars that have 50 computers in them.

Yeah, it seems there aren't any massive problems with em...the e500 already has the vluetooth module which is nice. Id have to add it to a 600 in my range and those things are not cheap.
Mercedes builds very durable engines. The problems arise when you're in the first generation of a new electrical feature...

Get off the damn computer and go talk to the hopefully SO....
Odd news inre TEB.....mutual acquaintance says she wants to be friends again and he thinks she means more. I know its a really really really bad idea, but there's a part of ne that still cares about her a lot. I think she's hit the point where Shea realized that I helped keep things in check with her life.....from what I've heard things have unraveled a lot fir her lately....

My dads S550 scared the crap out of me. I had it on sports mode and was at a stop light. I decided to see how quick that heavy thing could take off. Well, first it spun the tires and the rear drifted to the right a bit - I thought I was going to smack the guy in that lane - then it hooked up and was like a rocket. Fun car to drive.

The 550 is a slug compared to the 600.......I think I'll be happy on a 500 though.

I know the TEB thing is a bad idea and i'm going to stay away. It just distresses me to know that this options is out there and it distresses me to know how bad the downward spiral has been for her recently. I really wish I could stop caring about her, bit I just don't see it happening...

It's amazing what sport mode on the newer Mercedes does.....changes transmission settings, ignition, suspension, etc...

If it's uncovered tonight, it'll be a bit dry and looked faded, but the neosporin will bring the colors back out and moisten the skin. Just wait until it really scabs over.

if you hit the person doing 60 I think the car would be totaled and your still driving it right?

I'm still driving mine and he's still driving his. He's trying to scam the system. No way one could have sustained injuries in that "accident". It was a friggen fender bender and mostly to my car.

My ins. has been, but they had not seen my car. It's mostly fixed now anyway.
