Stopped going there for vacations, invariably always ended up running into 6-7 different families we know from home the same weeks we were there. Might as well have stayed home.

Freaking everyone comes here......
Gotta vacation during the off season....winters are very mild, traffic is much lighter and there are some great deals on hotels. |

Did that too. Seems half my town vacations there. Wife's family had been going to Sea Pines back when the parkway was a 2 lane road with tar paper shacks where the 'help' lived. Time for a change of venue.

The island has come a pretty long way.....
great place for car nuts though. On my way home from the jag dealer, I saw a new rolls phantom, at least 2 dozen porsches, a Ferrari California and 2 Bentleys. |

We all have our vices (really don't mind a cigar myself, although haven't had one for a few years), I've been known to partake in a $25 nip of cognac or scotch on occasion Besides, good health is only prolonging death anyway

I do my fair share of that as well......guns, scotch, cigars and cars for me. And no, I don't normally spend $13 on a single cigar and I didn't for this one....
