One thing I lone about the old CIS system is the great start up.
One turn of the key and it starts every time. As long as you have power, this is a great system. Its only when people that dont know what they are doing start messing around you have drama. Great for up to 430hp.

Hard to beat the sound of MFI on a NA car.
In the turbo world you just cant beat EFI. Not a cheap conversion for the pre 993tt cars like mine.

I have no idea since I havent looked into it too much but with an engine designed for CIS it is costly to replace it. There is more then just fuel stuff, there are internals too

I had an australian six with 3x55mm Webbers.
The sound at 7000rpm was great. It made 300hp with only 10:1 comp. Had a 100hp NOS kit on it that gave you 400hp. Not bad for an old push rod 3.2L 1960s thing. However that NOS was a bit much. As they say in Italy "spliti the block"

Nitrous is fun on a turbo. Can you say no lag.

The 2.7RS has some lag due to the cams- when you are below about 4000 rpm. Once you get to 4500 if you punch the throttle you are going somewhere RIGHT NOW, so you had better have it pointed in the right direction.
The throttle bodies are worn so with that and the cams it idles high and doen't like putting around town. It has headers so no thermostat control. It is set permanently lean but in a few months our mechanic is going to install a system to actuate the cold start squirters with a button. That way the warm starts will go smoother. As it is now cold starts require two or three starts before it continues running. And warm starts take a lot of cranking since the cold start squirters do not work due to the heat soak. But as long as you keep the revs up it is a hoot! I can't imagine what a higher compression RSR motor would be like.
