Dude. Missing a week of school is not going to hurt your grades. The festival of speed is a yearly event, of which you have already been to at least one. The FSAE is once in a lifetime.

Well, to be clear, I joined for next year. I am helping out on this year's car in order to get the feel of how things work and to build up some skills for next year. The car was already designed and half built by the time I started working on Saturday. So I don't really feel like I "should" be there. It is "their" car and "their" competition. If they want me there to find out how things work I would consider, but there will be some team members who have gone to competition before that will still be there next year.

I would like to concentrate on my studies this time around. Next year I will be almost done with school so I will be all-in with FSAE.

Who will be your replacement? Someone like yourself, who doesn't feel like they "should" be there. Follow through with your commitment. You will learn a lot. You will lose no knowledge by missing a week of school this year and a week next.

We'll do.

Really wish you and Beth could have made it. Really want to see the old gang get back together.

Yeah I want to start getting back to doing what I do best. Picking on my friends in person. I came within an ace of heading down there this weekend to get Jay's 44 running and to collect the money he is owed for his dumptruck but he said no.

Sid, if it will help with your test, statistically I will fight back the urge to slap the ever living dog chit out of someone by ten am.
