Probably a generation thing. I've noticed my son and all his friends seem to be fashion conscious. Me, I've been wearing tradie type clothes for so long it probably influences my wardrobe more than it should. A nice pair of shoes to me look like this;

I would not say I am fashion conscious. I don't know what the shoes are (short of race clothing/shoes) but I know what I like!
