Depends on the number of assailants, as to who gets how many rounds, but my instructor pointed out that if you shoot to lockback you've got a better chance of using the fear defense....

One does not have to act in a tactically irresponsible and panicky manner to fear fir their life. There is sufficient case law in both SC and GA to support this stance.

We are going over the underground press from the 60's at this point. It is interesting, somewhat disturbing or perverse, to see how guns start to be revered in the mid to late 60's. Not just in the Black Panthers' paper but others as well. My instructor thinks the John Lennon song was inspired by those papers. There was a "Christmas card" from the Black Panthers that said "Happiness Is..." on the front cover and on the inside was a picture of an assault rifle. And you should see their magazine. That really puts "Happiness Is a Warm Gun" into perspective.

But then there was a lot of s*** going down at that time. Assasinations left and right.

Chances are you poke a hole in one of them the rest run and hide.

You have to be careful though, if you act too tactically, they will say you were looking for a chance to shoot....

And a Jag is not the car to shoot from. The Merc Gullwing is much better.

Or even a GT3RS.

So I wonder when Dave is going to win his part of the challenge. Any day now from the sound of it.

I have a friend that wants to know what the value of a complete MFI system is. Assuming it can be put in running order without a rebuild. I really have no idea. $5,000?

So I wonder when Max is going to win his part of the challenge. Should be any afternoon now, if he didn't think about it so freakin' much.

Seriously. You're in a target rich environment. You don't have to put all your eggs in a single basket. Surely there must be a few girls out there. All you need to do is have a meaningful conversation with one. It doesn't have to be a date. It's OK if she has a BF. You can even do it late at night as a study break: "Hey, wanna go grab an ice cream/coffee/snack/bagel?" Just slip in a meaningful conversation while you're at it.

I was genuinely asking about Dave.

And I am not so concerned with winning as I am with finding the right girl. I don't feel like trying to win with a girl I have no real interest in. There may be a lot of girls around on campus but it is not like I am going to walk up to some random girl between classes and ask her out. I've realized that during/between classes is not really the time. I need to find them when they are out of class.

There are only very few I am around a lot- in my engineering classes- and of those, there are not really many that I am attracted to.

here let me start it for you.

What do you want to do after graduation? OR
What do you see yourself doing after college?

There now get to work.

I've thought of those conversation starters but haven't found found the right combination of girl and setting to use them.

You're thinking marriage. Not that that's bad. But it's not what Dave intended (I don't think) when he issued this challenge. The point of this competition is to get you a bit more out and about. IMHO you're making this out to be an episode of "The Bachelor." We're not trying to get you married, quite yet. Heck, we're not even trying to get you laid, necessarily. We're just trying to get you to go out and talk to girls a little more. It's OK to have a meaningful conversation with a girl you don't want to marry. It's not dishonest. It's not leading her on. It's just a freakin' conversation, albeit one about more than just trivial crap. I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill.

I'm hoping the farmers market will be a situation where the girls there will be willing to chat rather than focused on getting to/from class.

Next time you see to girls together, walk up and ask "Did you ladies come together? Would you like to?" then wink.

Be sure to do this very confidently, make them know you are serious.

ok think of it this way. Dave has to fly with an instructor for hours of practice right. Well talk to them all until you get good at the converstation and one of these times the right one will be on the other side of the table then guess what idle chit chat will turn into holy cow we are going to be late for class after being up all night talking.

Trust me.
