Well, got a personal call from the Shark Tuner guys today. They are pushing me to try to get the car home and work on it myself. Don't think they trust the mechanic, but don't want to say anything bad about him.

I suspect everyone that works on cars has had a "oh crap" moment that is self inflicted.

It has been a rather windy day. It is calming down to just 37 mph winds now. Time for bed. Goodnight folks.

Right in the middle of a home improvement project you realize you need to go to Home Depot to get something to finish the job. Depending on your age, you might do the following...
In your 20's: Stop, Shower, change clothes cause you might like the cute girl running the register. In your 30's: Stop, wash hands and change clothes cause the cute girl at the register might be the kid sister of someone you know. In your 40's: Stop, change shirt, shoes and put on hat. The cute girl at the register might know your daughter and you don't want to embarrass her. In your 50's: Stop, wipe hands on shirt, put on hat. After you get back to your car realize cute girl at register was only being polite. In your 60's: Stop, no hat needed any more, girl at register might be cute but you don't know because you don't have your glasses on. In your 70's: Stop, wait to go to Home Depot when your prescription is ready at Walgreens. Cute girl at register reminds you of your granddaughter. In your 80's: Stop, start again, then stop again. Remember you needed to go to Home Depot. Go to Walmart instead and can't remember what you needed. Went to school with the old lady greeter at the front door. In your 90's: Fart and think someone called your name.

Pete, I am curious. I have a question about your trailer. What sort of realistic useful life does a trailer like that have? How many miles or is it measured in years.
Obviously the things like wheels & tires and wheel bearings and brakes get replaced every so often. I am sure the air bags need maintenance and replacement. The pivot attachment has wear and maintenance. What else wears out on a flat bed trailer? Is it just rust and corrosion that ultimately kills a trailer? I know almost as much about simi-trailers as I do nuclear power. I understand the basic concept but not much about the real long term operation of either. I presume at some point it is logical to replace the entire trailer with a new one rather that repair an old one. But unless it is damaged in an accident is would seem like it is logical to keep fixing little wear items. Obviously it is a business and not an emotional attachment like and old 911.

So your rig is not an 18 wheeler is is a 22 wheeler.
I bet that crane causes some nice wind drag.
