I think I am about 5'9". I am not intimidated by height, just good looks.

She'd probably loose me in the math, though.

I haven't heard much good about dating websites here on PPOT...

I have actually a handful of friends who have married men that they met on dating websites. They were sick of the losers they met out in bars and stuff. One married a rocket scientist (no kidding), another a dentist, another an anesthesiologist, another an IT guy, and the last an MD as well. These women were very smart and well rounded. Found it hard to find guys that were on the same level, you know? I can't knock it since I have never tried it. Not there yet. Right now, just enjoying my boys. And the occassional date. Very occassional.

Oh, by the way, I got a new bike seat today and adjusted it all nice so I am feeling much better while riding. I messed around with my front brake pads and got the pulsing to stop it seems, but they still squeal. I moved the pads up because they had a step worn into them and were partially riding on the inner rim. So now they will drag until the wear evens out. Time will tell if the front brake will be usable again. The thing grabs and pulses so much that it really upsets the bike on downhills. Trail braking is a no-no, as is chickening out mid-corner. It will teach me not to brake mid-turn, though, which is a good thing.

Is there some sort of dating website only for smart people? A rocket scientist? Really?

Yup, no kidding. I forgot what company he works for. I remember when she first told us that she was dating a rocket scientist. We were like whatever. And then we met him and he is. A genius that guy. Some of the people I know... crazy smart. I was a nerd. So half of my friends are beyond nerdy smart. One of my close friends from high school, she got a perfect score on the LSAT and missed one on the SAT. She's a lawyer now. My other friend? He got perfect scores on his SAT and GRE. Graduated high school when he was 16. Went to Harvard for undergrad and MIT grad school. Yeah, I was the "dumbest" out of our group.

On of my wide's good friends is a retired college professor. She taught computer science. Her husband was a professor teaching physics. Many of his students were discussing how hard the test was to get into the medical school. He told them it could not be too hard. He took the test without studying. He got the highest score. He decided to go to medical school. Now he is a ENT surgeon. It is intimidating going to dinner with two people with three doctoral degrees. I bet they could not change the oil on their lawn mower as a team.

My philosophy teacher has 3 masters degrees. One from southern mississippi I think it was, then one from some welsh university that he had a scholarship for, then one from some east coast school where he got his PhD.

I guess any Phd is a lot of work. A philosophy degree is not quite the same as a physics degree. At least in my uneducated view.

Where do you find work as a doctor of philosophy? It seems the only place is teaching.
