Great I finally got all the parts and have my spare computer reassembled and the two hard drives I have are both passworded. Looks like I may have another linux unit about to be born

oh, boy. disregard most of what i said about the engine overheating. the fill cap was about 2/3 off and i just poured 2 quarts of coolant and 4 quarts of water into the system and it ate all of that. it is a 13L system, IIRC, so about half of the coolant, at least, was missing.

Yikes! I would be concerned about where it all went, though. Sounds like a head gasket leak.

no paper towels, however. this truck was only driven about 1 mile, round trip. i hope i didn't cook the heads or the gaskets. if so, it is getting sold. i cannot justify throwing any more cash at it.

The FSAE Electric car still isn't working. I tried what our computer engineer said and still no power.

I remember they said something about the ground fault interrupter giving them problems at the competition. I wonder if that issue has shown up again? I don't know where that is, though. I don't know if the car was powering up before the controller swap, either. I just assumed so.

apparently you missed the part where the fill cap was about 2/3 off. it all boiled out the cap!

i guess i better look. this truck already had a headgasket failure without there being oil in the coolant, however.

Try getting your leg over first thing in the morn. If she's not into it, she'll get out of bed. If she is into it, well it's a win win situation
