It's the 3.9 V8. Not smoking, but since I am still basically bedfast there is not a lot I can check. Couldn't have been good to drive it for a week with the low coolant and temp lights on. I didn't know until he drove me to a doc appointment in it. Made him stop and top up the coolant with water and the lights no longer come on. Other brother took me to a docs appointment in it last week to help keep the battery up, and it seemed to drive fine, but again. Driving it for a week with low coolant to the point that the motor ran hot could not have been good for it.

Things are destructive. Now that I have time I am going to finish my bathroom and I have decided to rip the entire thing out and just start over. Might even knock down a wall and just make it really really big.

Well the bathroom downstairs backs up to a bedroom that is nothing more than storage, so why not. I am thinking shower stall and sunk in whirlpool. Huge linen closet. We really need that since houses built in the 40's have dick for closet space, and small dicks at that.

Gee there are few things more non fun that a bathroom gut & redo. BTDT.

I started with just wanting to replace my toilet and ending up standing on sub-floor joists looking at the dirt under the house and studs on the walls. I don't ever want to do that again.

Have fun Rick!

Well I did the subfloor already, and ripped out the tub surround and such, so there is nothing in there but plywood, plaster, and a cast iron tub. I am really close to punching through the wall. I am going to run it by Beth tonight before I go any further

Hey rick, if you are going to be replacing the flooring in that bathroom look into electric floor heat for the bathroom. It is one of the best upgrades we did for our house. We ripped up the carpet and put down a floor heat system and then tiled over that at our current house. Of course then we tiled the shower and did a new shower door and all new fixtures.

I have an oil fired hot water boiler and the pipes that run under the floor keep it nice and warm, even the tile floor is warm (ish) when we have the boiler on. Speaking of which I guess I should start my bank robbery spree so that I can afford oil this year

the 2" group yesterday at 100 yards with the AR15 was someone else messing with my target. the cheap ammunition, i am currently playing around with, and the battle sights are doing about 6" groups at 100 yards. i am thinking that reloading .223/5.56 ammunition is in my near future, if i really want something accurate. damn that AR is fun.

rick, if i understand correctly, you told your boss to shove it.

driving without coolant is bad. for sure.

i wonder if i could put a radiant heat setup underneath the rug in our front room. that would be cool.

D play around with the bullet weights before you start reloading. Mine really really likes 55gr, nice and tight.

Niece lived in a house attached to a funeral home. Th bathroom was 16ft by 16 ft, with a sink on one wall, a tub on the other, and a toilet on another opposite the door. It was weird goin there.

D, the electric radiant heating can be put under carpet but it would not be as effective because the carpet does not transfer heat as well. Rick we keep our floors at 82 degrees when we are home. The thermostat is automatic and I programmed in our schedules. On bare feet 82 is very pleasant.
