It's 10:47 pm and our computer is in our bedroom. Mrs. Noah is asleep, so maybe I'll do it tomorrow.

Yes, the mac is now running off an Apple router. More reliable than the non-Apple ones we've used in the past.

I'm going to sleep. It was a long day. That last case "took" 7 hours. OK, the surgery may have only taken about an hour, but the waiting before and after was painful. Dude's brother didn't show up to pick him up until 9 pm.

Night, Alarick. Enjoy Thanksgiving! Hopefully no one cuts their digits off carving the turkey and you can relax.

So start practicing now, Max. How else will you be a well-oiled romance machine when you bump into the now-single Danica Patrick in Long Beach come April? Or one of the Tecate girls.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family too, Dave. And to the rest of the Stijn crowd.

And you think they last in college?? It's the same, just better and more of it. Yes, there are exceptions to the rule.

Max, everything is practice. Until one eventually sticks. I thought my marriage was gonna be forever but it didn't turn out that way. I used to have life planned out and think it should be that way or this way. And then it blew up in my face. So now, I don't ever try to judge people or try to fit everything into a nice neat little box. Because I have learned it usually blows up in my face.

You WILL mess up. You WILL look stupid. You WILL do things you never thought you would. But once you realize all that is gonna happen and don't stress over it, it can actually be interesting and makes you a better person. All my mistakes and embarrassing moments have made me less judgmental and humble.

So who cares if it doesn't last forever? Means she really wasn't the one. She was practice. So what if you embarrassed yourself? 1 person in the billions of people on earth thinks you are a dork. I can live with that. Besides, if you handle the situation with grace, less likely they will remember you that way anyway.

Hell. I just put a thread up on the tech forum about my oil plug crush washer fiasco. Not going to mention the lug nut incident.

I just got news that my sort-of cousin (he's basically my cousin's stepson) got married a few months ago. He is a couple weeks older than me. They are now expecting a child at the end of May.

I hear he got a job at an oil company due to family connections. He had dropped out of school, then got his GED. So I guess they should be financially able to care for a child. The two have known each other for 7 or 8 years apparently.

I am just amazed at how things can change so quickly. I still remember the days in southern illinois fishing and tubing/skiing with him when we were still in grade school.

Dave, I love those stories. Good stuff. Even D's story about the paper towels. Love the fact you guys can laugh about it.

I'm getting to the point in life where nothing matters anymore. I'm comfortable with who I am. I'm human, I make and have made mistakes. I was not having a good day yesterday, but in the end, ya just gotta laugh it off. I find it good therapy to air it out as it happens. Document the foolishness and stupidity. Embrace it. In the end, it's always goo to look back and laugh it off.

It's either laugh or cry. Wrenching on cars is much easier if you have a sense of humor.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
