I can see the next post, 61 MPH and the boot let go, on the way downhill in the ski patrol basket.

A new record, I just made a 3.8 GIG PDF print file!

A customer wants a 8x8 FOOT print. It shows 320 sq miles of the metro area. The client wanted the Section, Township and Range for each square mile, major roads, and highways, interstate highways, lakes and airports labeled. Some of those labels are just 8 & 10 point text. You have to be close to a print to read 8 point text and the background photo has to be very sharp. I will print it at 720x2880 DPI.

It took one full day to build the project in the mapping software we use. Now I have to figure out how we can build a frame for it.

good plumber, phoned before hand, made a time and date, was at the door on time, took minimum time to fix it, cleaned up after himself, then left, excellent!

The water is only falling outside, not inside.

Unfortunately the rain has stopped for now.

Not too worried. This marks my 38th year on skis. After dropping 20' onto my shoulder and head and on a seperate incident, smashing my head into the rocks, not much fazes me anymore.

Learning to ski/snow board is on my to do list. I was hoping to have a go when I was at Whitehorse last year but broke my hand on my 2nd day there

The snow here is usually wet and slushy so to see fine fine powder was a real head spin for me!

this is my 27th year snowboarding (about 4 years of skiing, prior to that) and i worry about 'booting-out'. i use hard-boots and plate bindings and i am going wicked fast. i never worried about the boot coming out, prior to using the plate bindings. the problem with a snowboard is that if one foot comes out, the board is not coming off of the other foot. a broken leg is almost certain. with skis, they release.

D, please stop. I get very irritated when people give subtle hints.

I already have parents. I'm not looking for more.

LOL! subtle hints? i thought i was being direct.... really, i do worry about booting out. i worry so much that i discovered, after a couple of runs, that the mechanism holding my binding onto my boot was split. i have no idea how it was staying together. i took it to the pro-shop, or whatever, and they found a replacement part. i was amazed, being that the bindings i have were 15 years old and haven't been made for years.

BTW, dave. it isn't always about you. just saying.

were those wires hand tightened?

i've body surfed, many times. in fact, i body surfed in florida during a hurricane. the day before the storm hit the waves were about three inches. the day of the storm, 6 foot swells. it was awesome. i cut my back from shoulder to hip on exposed coral.

i have surfed exactly once, in hawaii. i was able to stand and such. really fun.

Cool, it is a lot of fun. Body surfing is great as I don't need to lug a board around. Having a thong (flip-flop to you guys I guess?) on one hand helps, and I found a surf glove which is even better.

I live in Newcastle and we have some great beaches. Although my local beach was covered in bluebottles last time. They do suck the fun out for it.

Used to have a mal when I was a teenager and had to sell it when I moved house. Will get a board again before I get too old to relearn it all.

bluebottles? flies?

i like to body surf with proper scuba style fins. a boogey board is fun, too.
