beautiful day, time to take Marilyn for a little drive though the countryside and get some fresh air, I could go for a walk, but a drive on a beautiful sunny day in Marilyn sounds better!

there are three powders i like to use, BCL(2) being my preference. they had none of them.

they do have .224 bullets, if you want 40grain.

the .308 bullet supply was acceptable.

they have limited purchases of primers, so there are some of those to be had.

the price of .223 has dropped to absurd levels, from recockulous. the cheap stuff is now $0.65/round instead of $1/round.

they actually had an AR15 on the shelf. $2K.

unfortunately, the bubble pricing of AR15's seems to have passed. they are still going for a premium, but not for what i am willing to part with mine. i'll still go to the gun show on sunday and see what happens. it'll be interesting, at the least. plus, the feeding frenzy might get me what i want.

the gun store had a franchi SA 12GA that i really like for about $520. beautiful shotgun.

I have not...but met up with a group in Las Vegas at something billed as the "ultimate Pelican Meet". I had a great time and met some nice folks from all over.

There is Porsche group in the Southeast that meets up in the fall to drive the Dragon. They rent cabins in the mountains, bring a bottle or two and have a big party weekend.
