Constantly covered is actually worse that just sitting. I am still trying to fix the mildew damage on the targa because my dad left it covered and just sitting

a really waterproof cover will, if it gets damp from rain and condensation underneath the car, actually keep the moisture inside the cover, and thereby keeping the car damp. If it is covered, it should be removed once a week for a few hours or so to let the moisture evaporate.
Miss Daisy is covered, but she is also up on raised stands, dry and indoor, the cover is more for the dust that will build up on the paintwork, in three years.

Pusha is covered, but also up on stands and under a carport with cement floor, plenty of airflow.

Lanna is covered up in her cinder block bedroom, with a concrete floor and is on jack stands. She is just a scant few feet below me right now.

You guys are pretty creative in naming your Porsches. I call one red and one yellow (sometimes mellow yellow). I hang my head in shame.

Not sure if you're referring to the Acura or the Porsche.
I swapped out the starter on the Acura. Not sure who the Japanese rocket scientist was who designed two hidden bolts to the battery tray that are on the underside and must be loosened/reinstalled blindly, but that guy's an idiot. And for the Porsche all I did was to futz around with two relays in the engine compartment (scrubbed them 'til the the contacts were shiny again), and now the car starts....for now. I wanted to get to the "speed relay" under the driver's seat, but couldn't get the seat off. Four of the six bolts holding the seat rails down to the floorpan are frozen. So if the car continues to have this problem, either I'll get smaller tools to allow me to undo those four pesky allen bolts and/or I'll change out the fuel accumulator & fuel filter. I have a spare filter on the shelf, but not the accumulator. Might as well do both at the same time.

Now I just need to think of a clever name for the 911.

You guys remember I live in AZ right? There is no such thing as moisture. I am trying to protect it from the sun. Today it was 77 and dry.
Last time I touched that car everything was brittle. I am afraid it is just going to evaporate into air. |

we had pork steaks slow cooked in plums, red onions and balsamic vinegar and a few spices, very yummy, served with mashed potatoes and parsnip, and steamed broccoli, very nice if I do say so myself.
Now having a coffee ,and dark chocolate on the side, even more yummy. No wine tonight.
