Swirl marks on my white paint is not the issue. It is getting to the paint. A Carrera has paint UNDER the rockers, on the bottom of the bumpers and the lower valance. It all needs to get cleaned and waxed. I still need to treat the rubber parts.

I understand, the SC is the exact same. I usually strip the car during the wintertime and spend a few (dozen) hours cleaning everything and waxing it back up. I like the Meguires paint cleaner and then I follow it up with the Meguires paint protector. This isn't the stuff you get at flaps, you have to go to the paint supply house for it

Yea the McGuires paint cleaner is the bomb. It does great. I use Zymol creme as the top coat of wax. It is astonishing how smooth the paint feels after that. The before paint feel is embarrassing. I knew it needed a good cleaning after the road trip to Michigan. I have just been abusing it. I feel so ashamed.

Wow, it is nice to have a car that I don't have to worry about the paint. Fiberglass panels and a budget paint job = a little windex to get the bugs and visible dirt off and I am good to go. I haven't spent more than an hour cleaning the car and that included windows, wheels, and paint.

The paint is cleaned and waxed. I use a product called Black Again that I like. I use it on the bumper bellows and rubber trim parts. It leaves the rubber parts looking the proper clean and black. I am done for this weekend. Next weekend is the autocross and after that was the car and start on the interior & glass.

I hate armor-all. Can't stand shiny rubber/vinyl. Needs to be matte black and blend into the background.

I agree. That stuff just makes a mess. The Black again stuff just cleans it and leaves it looking blacker an new.

Think it looks silly when people detail their cars and put shiny goo on the tires, rubber and black trim. Just put brand spanking new tires on the GTS and those brand new tires are NOT shiny. Don't understand why people think shiny looks good when it wasn't shiny to start with.
