Well, picked up the pushrods, servo extensions and a nice wood prop for finished product.

well, just got the estimate for the damage to my fiances car. $3,000.

Friday night in the big rain storm some lady plowed into us in Target parking lot out in the dead zone. I specifically drove to the back of the parking lot where no one was to avoid idiots. She was traveling about 40mph across 5 or 6 parking zones. We were in the driving lane and I came to a stop. She claims she didn't see us, I looked around at all the empty space and ask how that is possible that she didn't see us? We were the only ones in the far back end of the lot, that's why I call it the dead zone. No one is back there.

The lady hit us that hard that it pushed the car to the side about 4 - 5 feet

That's a bummer Andy. . How are you guys feeling? Any sore or stiffness?

And what kind of car is it? Can you get another estimate and try to get it totaled?

Andy, sometimes the idiots seek us out. Just to spread idiocy.

it's a 2010 Infinity Ex35, they wont total it because the value of the car is a lot higher plus there is no frame damage. The damage isn't that bad and no one is hurt, air bags didn't deploy. The cost comes from the kind of car it is. new front passenger quarter panel, new door and new rim (scuffed). There is no a-arm damage, still drives straight and the tire wasn't cut at all. I say it was a good thing it was wet out or the car wouldn't have slid from impact and the damage would have been a lot worse and I would suspect frame damage in that scenario.

On another note, if they did total it, I would be pointing her towards a used BMW X5 or Porsche Cayenne.

Glad you are ok. Air bags probably would have totaled it.

Yeah, I was thinking the same since the sensors for airbags are set up on the frame. I told her if the airbags would have deployed, but then I would have a bruised up fiance because that's where she was sitting, they would total it.

She would have loved it getting totaled because she wants the new Infinity Jx that came out. I think it's a sluggish turd.

Well Andy, I am so happy that you guys weren't injured. Car accidents are just so horrible, especially when you just haven't done anything to contribute to it, other than taking your car out of the driveway. My hubby would say that shopping is dangerous!!

I was thinking the same thing about the airbags, cost scenario. Those things cost a bomb. Hubby would like a Cayenne, but I think they are just overpriced, but a good second hand one might be cool.

One of the guys at work has the x5 and I think it looks too small really, which must mean that I am getting used to seeing the larger American cars, lol. In Oz I would have thought that it was a big car.

This really seems like a Sunday today.

I took the day off to have a colonoscopy. I really know how to party!

Everything came out fine.

The Doc said I should not go to work this afternoon and the wife was off work to be my chauffeur. We went to see the movie Rush this afternoon. Good movie.

Now tomorrow will not feel like hump day.
