The idea is the primer and powder are just enough to get the mini side winder and phoenix to leave the rail while in flight. The plans show the same kind of pin to primer set up.

Friend and I when teenagers with too much time and energy built a UFO. It would fly out across in front of cars going by at night and fire pop bottle rockets at them. It was covered with aluminum foil with bright flashing lights, looked very B movie. If they stopped we would land it and it made UFO sounds from the Paia Synthesizer we built. Most would just speed off. If they got out of the car it would take off and disappear into the distance very fast while firing a pop bottle rocket at them. Even the bravest would scream jump back in their car and speed off.
It even made the papers. Well, after we submitted a photo of it shooting a rocket at us with a description of our sighting. It was a hoot!

We rubber banded styrofoam cups to our planes and tried to hit targets with water balloons. You would fly very smoothly to keep the ballon from bouncing out of the cup and do a roll to drop the balloon. No body was ever successful at actually hitting a target.
When we had r/c club cook outs one guy with bomb doors on his plane would fill it with candy and do a candy drop over the crowd. We did a couple of events that were really fun. One was to take off from our field and fly the plane and drive to another flying field 20 miles away that had a pond and then do float planes. That's why I had a piper cub with removable pontoons. Another was to put lights all over the planes and have a night fly. That one always drew a big crowd on the roads around the flying field. It looked like the close encounters movie with everyone stopped on the side of the road to watch the UFOs go by.

These plans will never get built. They are for a 1/10 scale scratch build ducted fan jet.

Had too much fun with aerobatics to get into the ducted fans. Did however have a jet looking prop plane with ticycle gear that was all kinds of fun to just do touch and goes making the retracts go up and down.
The plane I was going to build when I quit was an Midwest 40 size Extra 300 and I had a supercharged .56 4 cycle to go on it. Was doing my thing where I sand all the wood in the kit down to half the thickness and then soak ultra thin into the grain of the wood. Makes the kits lighter and stronger.

I think I'm gonna buy one of these when they come out
Crye Precision probably buy the standalone 18" barrel model and submit a form 1 then when it comes back, grab a shorter barrel and slap that sucker up underneath the AR... |

Just got some documents in an email from the Parade organizers. Can't seem to open a couple of the pdfs.
![]() Nice that they are trying to conserve water by reducing car washes.

They should use a car wash that filters and recycles the water. Which is why I don't like to use car washes. Usually ends up just applying a nice thin film on the car that swirls like crazy when you try to wipe down the car later...Then there is the whole sand blasting effect of the impurities in the water when you rinse the soap off. Just don't think they filter the water well enough for re-use.

I got that as well. They say to wash you car at home. So after 1600 miles they don't think it will get dirty? Is there a car wash business in Monterey?

Morning Y'all,
Took Devon to the 2015 STI unveiling party last night and the dumb ass sales manager threw me the keys to a new BRZ since he knows I want one. Nothing feels quite like planting the go pedal to the carpet in a car that has five miles on it. I have to say if it had about fifty more horses it would be a really really fun car, as it is is is just a fun car. It actually has oversteer in the front end. (we took the non straight roads) I also offered David an invitation to ship his car to me or ship me to the car to fix it, I think he got scared when I said he would have to feed me.
