I hate sinus pressure. I have a couple of posts in my teeth that are into my sinus cavities, so pressure feels like a loose tooth.

Not nearly as exciting as the past few races. Kind of a bummed ending with Bianchi getting carted off to the hospital and not being able to air vac due to the weather. Currently they say CT scans showed he suffered a head injury, they are operating, and he will be moved to intensive care for observation.

The report as of yesterday is the Michael Schumaker is improving in the last months and weeks sine going home, but still has a long way to go.

Good Monday morning folks.

I did play in the garage some yesterday. I was doing a routine check of the Elky and I was checking the air pressure in the air bags for the rear suspension. The right side was not acting normally.

The mechanic that last worked on it screwed up again. If he did not work for free I would fire him but he is a real nice guy so I just fixed it. The rubber air line was pinched and prevented air from going in or out of the air bag. I do admit that working on your back with the suspension just inches from you face makes it a difficult task. It is a lot easier now with the lift. In fact is was a breeze.

Morning guys. Long weekend here!

Tweeze and I left with some friends late thursday to head up to the canyon country. Stayed in a hotel that night so we could be on the trail at the ass crack of dawn on Friday. Friday AM we stopped to drop our bags off at the trail and I shut the van off, went to start it up again to go park and click, click, click F*CK! Tried jumping it and no go. We had just driven 90 miles into the middle of freaking nowhere so I was lost on what to do next. We told our friends to head on into the campsite, since the mules were carrying all the bags we would just meet them down on saturday. Called AAA to get a tow thinking even if it was just a battery we had no way to get back to town, and the nearest "town" wasn't going to have a battery anyways. So 120miles on a flatbed later we got to Kingman. Thanks god we have AAA premier so we only had to pay for the last 20miles. The shop ran all kinds of tests and said the battery had shorted is why it wouldn't jump. Put a new one in and we were good to go. Drove back to the hotel and got ready to attack it early Saturday. Thuy and I hiked 11miles in on Saturday, enjoyed the falls for a bit, and then back out on Sunday. I'm sore in places I didn't know existed, but it was beautiful hike and worth it!

Sid, the last two batteries in my El Camino shorted out just like that. I could not even jump start the car. The battery was fine one minute and just dead the next.

My brother has a 1974 VW camper that he goes on many camping trips in. He started carrying a separate battery with him. He can use one battery to run fans or lights without starting the Van and have a backup if needed. Of course it is possible to push start a VW.

You were lucky you had cell coverage.

It's a really cool place. You hike through the most remote community in the US. The only way in is hike, horseback, or chopper!

Glen, our phones didn't work, but our friends had verizon with one bar so we could get a call out.

Since G is not on FB....

Turning a shift knob from start to finish. Roughly 30 minutes condensed into just under a minute.
