David-what he meant by "cultural" was that in his "culture" it was acceptable behavior, basically what Dal said.

Dal-sorry, not intended that way-its kind of a philly thing, the fans here can be "hateful" and the term gets thrown around a bit-didn't mean it as strongly as it came off.

Paul got it.

What he did was reprehensible, but what do people want?

For him to be given the death penalty?

To be prevented from ever earning a living again in his life?

He did the crime, but also did his time, and it's over.

There are any number of counter arguments (a felon can't be a teacher, join the military, etc.) but I want the rule of law to apply.

I thought I hated PBs until this thing showed up, unannounced, stray.

But of course, none of those counter arguments apply to Vick being employed in the National Felon League.

She is a great dog, getting spayed this weekend and having her 'do' claws snipped. She has insinuated herself perfectly.

It is a real pleasure to see your posts again, Ryan...

thanks, paul..it's rough, and been rough (ruff..ha). i especially recall your thoughtful messages last year, maybe even 'hoisting a beer' someday, something along those lines. hope you're doing well yourself..

ok, sorry for the hijack..ransom paid..back to vick. i have nothing to add other than i'm hardly surprised when celebrity athletes get the quick sweep and 'attaboy', back to business that the rest of us don't. my luck, i'd get the pen for torturing a grasshopper.

Paul, my German Sheppard "Delilah" (her big brother with the cancer is named Samson, so we named her in honor of him) goes in on Monday to get spayed. We had Samson's dew claws removed, and have decided to let Delilah keep hers.

I also say let him play. It will be interesting through, when PETA and others like them start showing up at Eagles games, particularly Oct 26, which will be a Monday Night game against the Redskins.

I don't know if it would be a good idea for PETA to show up with all the raucus Philly fans, I mean that group is dangerous to their own let alone PETA. And if he does a good job the fans will back him up in a huge way making even more of a PITA for PETA.

Am I wrong about the fans?

Well, seems some people think that this would have been OK if he was white

I think what Vick did was reprehensible. However, he has served his time for the crime, so let him have a shot at rebuilding his life.
I don't like what he did nor have any feelings for him, so if he screws it up again, then, well, "throw him to the dogs!"

I hear ya Paul. This isn't the greatest pic, and as usual Delilah wanted to play! The pug is Casey Jones, he is 7 years old.
