After going to Sturgis last week, I'm really thinking I want to get a Road Glide. I didn't know they made that many Harleys, it was pretty amazing. Didn't see that new water cooled version though
LAPD won't let the guys put on the stage 1 kit which opens the motor to more air and some more HP. I have it in my Road King and never had a heat issue plus a bit more get up when I need it, I have the Screaming Eagle exhaust on my bike, just a little more sound but not ear drum rattling, i really like its low rumble.
We were fueling our fire engine at LAPD central the other day and saw the the new BMW's...great looking bikes...my understanding with BMW is that they have to do the maintenance on the bikes as part of the contract.

I aint into all that accesorizing. I think I currently have two HD t-shirts. Thats it. Both were gifts.
I have a budy of mine that is always trashing RUBS. Making fun of the way they dress. Calling them wanna-be Hells Angels. Now this is the same guy, that a few times a week, throws on his multi colored spandex shirt, ball hugging spandex shorts, fingerless gloves, silly hat. and meets up with a hundred of his similar buddys and goes out and terrorizes the local roads on their $10,000 bicycles.
One day he was really on a roll about bikers, toatally geting on my nerves. so I said to him " Hey wanna-be Lance Armstrong, next time you dress up in your clown suit to go for a bike ride take a look in the mirror before you leave the house!" That was the last time he ever made a comment about HD riders. As a matter of fact I think think he got on his bike for a few weeks after that.

Fingerless gloves make sense on a bicycle as you must be able to "feel" the shifter and press the buttons on the cycling computer (and, in the old days, un-clip your pedal straps).

Fingerless gloves on a motorcycle?

I agree with MMarsh: the older I get, the less tolerant I am of loud exhausts. All the B.S. aftermarket Porsche exhausts mentioned over on Tech, I've tried. Each one created more noise than their worth in power increase -- if any.

I went back to a stock two-in-one-out, and have never been happier. Same with my car.
